Middleweight champion Jermain Taylor will fight Sam Soliman on April 15 according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Taylor's promoter Lou DiBella told the paper that the bout will be televised by HBO on a telecast that also features a junior-middleweight bout between Vernon Forrest and Ike Quartey.

I'm going to predict a upset here , Soliman will win by SD.

Haven't seen Quartey on his comeback yet but this sounds like a good fight, battle of the jabs

Also reckon Taylor will have real problems with Soliman, great to see him getting the big fights with plenty of notice at last

I've got the same feeling here, Soliman is a busy , awkward and tough. He can do 12 rounds with ease, if Taylor has problems with the distance like he did in the first Hopkins fight then an upset could happen.

Taylor will stop Soliman.

Forrest beats Quartey in close one.

Taylor will look good in beating Soliman (as good as anyone can look vs Sam).

Forrest KO's Quartey in a surprisingly one sided fight. I've been impressed with Quartey's comeback, but MIGHTLY impressed with Forrest's win. I know it that good an opponent, but I think he can clean up the devision. I would love to see Forrest vs DLH.

Notice that Forrest is taking a tuneup in March!

Well, this is what I suspected might happen.

What's the betting that Winky Wright ends up getting a vacant title, and then defending it for about 100k a pop on undercards and non PPV shows for the next 18 months, whilst Taylor earns millions and gets all the exposure.

Wright should have taken the thin end of the purse and risked it, if he had beaten Taylor, he would have been the man.

Quartey has shown that he hasn't lost alot of his skill since coming back, but i'm worried that his chin isn't what it used to be , he was all at sea against Verno Phillips, although he came through it.
Fair play to Quartey for not taking to easy a route back into the mix, both Phillips and Bojorquez were tough opponents after the amount of time he's been out of the ring.

You'd have to pick Forrest to win here, but if Ike can get his jab going then he's going to cause all sorts of problems for Forrest.
Ike had one of the most powerful jabs i've seen.

Forrest's jab is no slouch either, and that right cross of his is absolutely lethal. I'll never forget what a bashing he gave Mosley in their first fight, how Mosley made it through that fight I will never know.

I hope the undercard fight comes off! Im going with Quartey. I thought he looked very comfortable in his last fight against a tough, durable apponent. Although I have not seen Forrests come back fight/s my feeling is Quarteys power and classier skills and nowhow will see him thru another tough one and a world title tilt later in the year.

Two interesting, if not massively inspiring fights. I think Taylor will get the decision against Soloman (who doesn't have the power to KO him) and Quartey might just spring a small surprise against Forrest. The latter is a fight that should have happened years ago, to be sure, but it's still an evenly-matched and competitive bout.

Still havent seen Wright Vs Soliman in full but the rounds I've watched, it looks like Winky found him Akward.

Thought the WBC will enforce Taylor Vs Winky though?

In one of my boxing monthly mags were they did a preview on Wright Vs Soliman, thinks only Eastman beat him convicingly and got robbed on the rest.

No way does Sam get stopped , beat on points maybee but definetly not stopped. But if Taylor don't prepare right , he may just find he's the one who dies towards the end and when your legs go anything can happenj

I saw Wright-Soliman, Soliman is a beast! He just comes forward throwing loads of punches from all angles. Ok so most of his pressure was uneducated but he kept it coming all fight long and after he was shaken in the 10th he came back next round still throwing. If Taylor's stamina and punch output are as dire as they were versus Hopkins and he tires late on again then i see him having problems.

As for Forrest - Quartey I'd love to Vernon win it. He has looked the bizzo in his comeback fights but was out a long time with that injury. I saw Ike in his comebak fight and think on that evidence Vernon by KO is a real possibility. Two quality fights though so I hope Sky show them or I'll be relying on my mate ot send them to me and having to avoid the result. :x

I agree, I think the pressure of fighting Hopkins contributed to the fatigue, Taylor was nervous against Hopkins.

I'm predicting a very impressive showing from Taylor here.

I think there are still question marks over Forrest's shoulder - very close to a career ender and it could surely go again. If it holds up I'll favour him to stop Quartey though.
I'm with James with regards to Taylor - he'll perform like a real champion in this one and either win a landslide points decision or even stop Soliman late IMO.
