Looks like Wayne Alexander is defending his WBU strap against Thomas Mcdonagh in March.

How do you lot see this fight going?

I think it will be an intriguing fight: Mcdonagh has the boxing skills to out-box Alexander, but Alexander has the punch to spark out Mcdonagh at any time.

I'll be rooting for Alexander-nothing against Stormboy, but I just want Alexander to win this one.

This is an accurate summary. Of EVERY Wayne Alexander fight! That's why he's good box office!

Yes...still remember Takaloo`s eyes when he got nailed with that hook....

McDonagh is real slick and with such a dangerous foe in front of him , it should concentrate his sometimes waryward mind.

I reckon the Storm Boy could make Wayne look foolish if he boxes to his capabilities.

What's the main co-feature on the 4th? Is it this fight or the WBO cruiserweight fight between Nelson and Cantatore? I'm just curious as to what we're going to see in the US -- maybe Showtime will be generous and show us both of these fights and make the broadcast a triple-header.

Hopefully we'll get all 3 fights in the US -- McDonagh has been impressive on Showtime in the past.

Storm Boy is the most inappropriate nickname in British boxing - and that includes Johnny Nelson. He's no puncher and he's about as hurricane-like as a cup of Horlicks. Dean Walker gave him nightmares.

Hasn't impressed me one bit and has a record that would make a Danish prospect blush. Perhaps the most deceptive log in the game.

Alexander by KO, McDonagh's record is more padded than the average bra in Leeds on a Saturday night. Sooner or later he'll get nailed and stopped.

Brian Hughes always paints McDonagh as a wayward genius - the kind of fighter who can do it all in the gym but doesn't often show his capabilities come fight night.

I agree he lacks power, strength and application but I do think he has the boxing skills; submerged somewhere behind his clowning and mugging for the cameras.

This is the ultimate step up fight for him against a grizzled, explosive puncher - I really do think his long, loose-limbed-style will cause Alexander all sorts of grief. I just hope he can keep his chin tucked out of danger!
