An article over on Seconds Outs says that Greenberg and Peter could clash by the end of 2006 :o

Credit to Greenberg if he takes the fight but IMO Peter wins.

Interesting option though for Greenberg.

Peter is very beatable, will Greenberg be able to stand up to his shots though. I can't believe they would put him into a fight like that when they are still handling him with kid gloves now. Step him up!

If the money is right, why not?

Roman is far better than Peter technically and Peter doesnt KO all of them.

If Roman wins he is in with the top guys, if he loses, but competes he still raises his profile.

I'd take it for $400,000 dollars.

Roman could beat him and win every round.

Greenberg has one advantage over peter that could prove crucial - he keeps his eyes open when he throws a punch unlike the lumbering peter i swear i was afraid he was gonna hit the lights with a few of his shots in the klitschko fight.

Would fancy greenberg to be a good price as well...... interesting 8)

Would be interesting if this match comes off, but Greenburg will have to be more switched on than in his other contests.

I watched the Releford fight, and Greenburg was good , but seemed to go through the motions in the middle rounds, he got a bit of a bollocking off his corner for this.
Releford did land some hard rights, this was more to do with Greenburg dropping his hands , something he couldn't afford to do against Peter.
Maybe its a case of Greenburg knowing he's a level above what he's been fighting so far, and losing focus in the middle rounds.
I've not been a Greenburg fan, but after the Releford fight I could see some improvments. He seemed to responed to his corner telling him not to muck about in there,

Greenburg should definitely go for it if this is a real opportunity open to him.

He has youth on his side, and whilst I'd give him a good chance, It's no disaster in losing his 0 at his age - as long as he puts in a good performance

What rubbish from Roman Greenburg's promoters saying they wished they knew a month earlier and can't take it because they are contracted to fight Alex Vassilev.

Vassilev is the ideal tune up for the Peter fight, just one month later.

This would be of course a huge step up in competition for Greenberg, whom is still very young for a Heavyweight and is still learning his trade. I doubt very much this fight will happen this year.

Of course Joe it would be a huge step up and not one Roman is ready for, but my gripe is the bullshit that they would have taken the fight if they had been called a month earlier.
They said the same sort of rubbish about fighting Skelton not so long ago.

They dont want to pull out of the Monaco show as they have an agreement with the casino, and the shows make good money. They dont want to let the casino down. Some promoters or other fighters are always pulling out or changing cards, ripping the fans off. I guess they are a bit more honourable.

If they are offered good money they will fight Peter or Wlad this year. Of that i have no doubt.

In about six months, this quote may well come back to haunt you.

A few months ago i was in doubt that Greenberg would be stepped up this year if ever! But fair play to him if he does take the fight. I doubt he will amount to anything spectacular though.
