Haye to make first title defence

Haye claimed the European cruiserweight title in December
European cruiserweight champion David Haye will make the first defence of his title against Danish challenger Lasse Johansen in London on 24 March.
The 25-year-old Briton, who is based in Orpington, will face Johansen at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.

Johansen, 30, has won all of his 14 fights, with 10 of his victories coming inside the distance.

Former amateur star Haye won the title when he knocked out world-ranked Alexander Gurov in December.

This soon? That will be 3 months since a 20 second blowout! He should look to fight at the very least least every couple of months. What he needs above all else is experience. He has the tools and power does he have the experience and stamina? Staying busy and fighting every 1-2 months will help.

is that from a good source would be good if he did cos that guy hasn't been KOed for 8 years so Haye will not be able to rely on power allone (we hope).

Fair enough. Cantatore should be able to give him the rounds he desperately needs, you'd hope so anyway!
