Yeah i read that somewhere.

But i chatted to Alex at the Pacquiao Morales weigh in and he said he was still working with Freddie Roach so i assumed that why he had been spending time in the states.

Though if this eases McCulloughs path from fighter to trainer i'm all for it

Sort of agreeing with Shirow here: Is Wayne training Alex in the same way that Roach was training him, i.e: not really? I do have my doubts about a Scottish fighter being trained by guys who have been based in the States for a long, long time now.

I like Arthur, but what does he actually want to do? How many trainers has he had now? Harrison, Roach, now McCullough. And I'm sure I read that he was joining Jim McDonnell at one point.

As was said though, if this means McCullough is moving from fighting into training, then more power to him. I don't want to see Wayne get anymore shellacking's. As tough a man as I've ever seen in the ring, but everyone has a breaking point.

From reading his book McCullough is good friends with Freddie Roach with Freddie having been in his corner a few times and them having a common friend in Eddie Futch and Roach once made the offer to McCullough to come work with him as a trainer in his gym so it could be possible that Roach and McCullough have partnered and are sharing training responsibilities with Alex Arthur.

Last I heard however McCullough is still looking to fight again.

He was on Espn Friday Night Fights last week as a guest commentator. I was surprised to hear him saying he was looking to fight again. Wayne is a tough man but Id like to see him call it a day with the fighting, and start training full time.
