DID ANYONE TAPE SKY & ITV FIGHTS BACK IN 95 THRU 98??

I fornicating taped all that shit & had mint 1st gen copies of all that great coverage from 10 yrs ago but some how in 98 managed to fornicating lose it all.

Trying to reclaim these fights mint even on DVD is impossible. All the so called long standing traders seemed to start taping fights 2000 or even well later. Andy Foster in bury has good original gen stuff from early 90s but around 95 started using some shitty VCR and all his tapes fromthis period are unplayable without major tracking issues. Theres a fella from Leeds called Brian but judging by the shocking quality of his tapes hes been recording fights with the original stone age VCR he bought in 1980.

Ive ran out of ideas anybody ever come across a fella who trades DVDs & actually taped the shit himself originally?

Let me know my beloved boxrec family.

Try Neri1985. He's always telling me how he's got loads of fights on tape, mainly Neary/Colin Dunne cards.

Noticed Stuart Attenborro (spelling ??) advertised in back on Box Monthly this month - or maybe last week's BN, cant remember - but I was trading with Stuart back in the 80's and he was certainly recording his own stuff. Remember he had his own NTSC-PAL convertor too, so he was well set up.

I traded with Andy Foster in the 80's, and recall the quality of his fights was terrible, even then! :D

Brian has one of the oldest collections in the UK.

I've got quite a few on tape, ITV and BBc from that time.
If you've got a way of copying them i don't mind send a few up to you if you pay for postage.

let me know what boxers you want to see from that time

I bought some tapes from him around the same time ....... the quality was so appalling I vowed never to buy from a back-page trader ever again ..... and I haven't. Had a hell of a job getting my money back from him as well.

Yeah most back page traders are shameless charlatans who use quality as an excuse to charge extortionate prices, even though their quality is just as bad if not worse. Andy Foster is ok, he is pretty cheap but some of his stuff is crap quality but he's a decent geezer all the same.

Have you tried Red Dragon Overhand? I know he stopped taping SKY events in 2000 or so but he may well have had them beforehand.
