OFF TOPIC - THE MILLERS GOING BUST

A sad, sad day
Rotherham United FC are on the brink of going bust.
The club I have followed for 36 years. The club where my dad was Club Dr for a while. The club where Emelyn Hughes took us through 10 wins in a month. The club where I stood on the terraces to see us knock 6 past Chelsea in the 80's
MY CLUB
Sorry, had to share

Don't worry, you have your madagascan vanilla pods to console yourself with, and the fact that you no longer live in Rotheram, just support chelsea instead.

I seem to remember that Doncaster Rovers were in a similar situation a few years back and look how well they're doing now.........

I don't know the ins and outs at Rotherham but as a Swansea supporter, I've been in the same position (as well as one game away from the Conference) within the last few years.
I hope the news isn't as bleak as it sounds.

As someone who comes from a family with a fair few Rotherham fans in it, all of whom have dragged me along to watch them at times, I hope they find a way to survive.

Well congratulations on the worst piece of business in Football history. While Pompey buy and get loaned quality Spurs players Southampton buy the worst player in Tottenhams history for 2million. Thanks for that money.

He scored 20 goals for Derby in the Championship last season under Burley. So could well prove to be an excellent signing...
Thanks for the £7m+ for Dean Richards ...Muhahahahahaha!!

Well the fact you haven't named a forward amongst that lot is your answer. Andrew invests in backs only, he's a complete tool. Having a flair set of backs without letting them see the ball is a recipe for disaster.

As a Rotherham fan myself it is shocking news but teams always find a way to survive & pull through in the end (aint really many teams gone bust that i can remember).
I've been to all but 3 home games at Millmoor this season & it pisses me off that any other week the ground has about 4000 fans in then it comes to boxing day & new years day or a big game i.e. a premiership team in the FA cup & the grounds a bastard sell out, now why carnt they turn up all the other weeks in the footy season.
It would be a crying shame if they did go bust because they have played some good football, just can't seem to put the ball in the back of the net and then they always chuck it away in the last minute :(. Even though they are near bottom of division 1 i've only seen 2 teams this season that deserved to beat us.
Any way lets all shed a tear
