I hear on the grapevine that gary will be making a comeback shortly. He could cause mayhem in the lightweight division if he comes back firing on all cylinders.

Dean Phillips handled him with easy when he was making his comeback.

Decent little fighter, great war with Barnett just before the Phillips fight. He deserved a bigger pay day than he achieved after winning that one, he deserved a luctrative domestic fight.

Looked very contented with retirement when interviewed watching Hatton vs Tszyu.

thekokid is mate of mine and nows fullwell theres no comeback for gary,he took phillips at two days and fought terrible that night but he did have him on the floor first so could'nt of been that easy,he was promised c'wealth fight after barnett win but broken promises and terrible ref decision against montana and then the dean fight left him with no where to go,relative of mine so know he's happily retired and hoping to open new amateur gym in oldham as the 2 boxing clubs there have folded

Gary Hibbert is a top lad and had a very unlucky couple of weeks that ended his career. I was gutted for him at the time, but he is doing very well for himself out of boxing with a busy little business he has. He still trains in the gym now and again but as I said he is very busy now.
