What the...Sprott fighting on the Arthur card for EU title?

I noticed this on the boxrec scheduled this morning but put off putting something up about it incase it was a blip or mistake.

But currently, Sprott is down to fight Antoine Palatis for the EU title - in Edinburgh - the latter not having fought for a year and cannot surely be in any sort of contention - even for just the EU title. It also seems to me a bit out of sorts for Sprott just to turn up on an SN card in Scotland :o

(The Gammer fight is still in the scheduled by the way)

:TU: Thanks for that.

Bit strange and out of the blue all the same. I had a look and he isn't rated.

Yeah me and Freiheit were discussing this before, how Palatis gets a shot at anything resembling a title baffles me :o

Eastside boxing (Per Ake Persson)

It will be veteran Antoine Palatis that takes on Brit Michael Sprott February 18 in Edinburgh for the vacant EU heavyweight title. Palatis is not rated but the EBU have made an exception as none of the rated challengers were available or wanted this fight..

That including Gammer presumably??? :-?

Gammer would have probably lost his mandatory status for the British title should he have lost . Makes sense really , but it's a shame they won't fight each other :( .
