Aint no shame in getting stopped by le banner, the guy is an animal.knockout wrote:that fight was against Tom Erickson a 300lb wrestler under MMA rules
Had it been K1 rules poor Tom would have probably been knocked out, just as Shannon Briggs did to him.
This isnt the le Banner fight where Skelton was stopped
Cyril Abidi is the other guyachybreaky wrote:Did you see the fight were le banner gets head butted intentionally and ends up with a rahman like golf ball on his forehead. I honestly think he pulled back on some of his strikes against the guy to give him a bit of extra punishment.
Cant remember the other guys name off hand think he could have been french also and it was a bit of a grudge match.
Thats the guy alright he was a tough nut aswell. Btw i bow down to your encyclopedic knowledge of k1.knockout wrote:Cyril Abidi is the other guyachybreaky wrote:Did you see the fight were le banner gets head butted intentionally and ends up with a rahman like golf ball on his forehead. and there is a lot of bad blood
Abidi tried to have a pop at him a few years after a fight, had to get seperated
Abidi is a funny one... he has a bit of a Bruno syndrome.... he gets caught with a good dig and kind of freezes and stays upright taking a beating....achybreaky wrote:Thats the guy alright he was a tough nut aswell. to be honest knockout might have a better idea but imo of all the mma heavies Fedor Emelianenko has to be right up there he is awesome.glahn wrote:So, I don't really watch much K1. Who is the best around at the moment, and who are the best fighters of all time?
not only was he dropped on his head, he submitted the guy like 10 seconds laternickd wrote:He's a monster, he was dropped on his head and still wasn't KO'd.
i dont like to say this about any fighter who gets in the ring but Remy hasnt got the biggest heart out there in my opinion.... twice i have seen him quit now, once against Sapp and once againt Schillt when it looked like he could have carried on...numpty wrote:Remi Bonjaski[spl] has to be up there with the best hasn't he? Last time I watched one he cleaned out Vernon White with a quality fly kick!
I like Bonjasky, technically he's the best in the world. Not a killer in the ring though, I agree.knockout wrote:i dont like to say this about any fighter who gets in the ring but Remy hasnt got the biggest heart out there in my opinion.... twice i have seen him quit now, once against Sapp and once againt Schillt when it looked like he could have carried on...numpty wrote:Remi Bonjaski[spl] has to be up there with the best hasn't he? Obviously he is a brave man just getting in the ring against those guys.. but to be a legend i think you have to show a little more...

God I love that Knockout thread.
True Sefo hasnt won a lot, but he has consistently been up there with the best and beating the best for 10 years, thats why i put him up there with the best.... hard to put your finger on a boxing equivalent...Tony Lumb wrote:I like Bonjasky, technically he's the best in the world. Best at the minute for me is Schilt, as the reigning World GP champ.
Regarding greatest fighters, the general concensus is Hoost, although he's tarnished his legacy a bit for me with carrying on a bit too long and losing quite a few in recent years.
Knockout, you mentioned Ray Sefo, but he hasn't won much though, has he? He kinda reminds me of a K1 Ray Mercer.
