Former Wolverhampton Boxing legend Nigel "The Centurion" Rafferty who had over 100 fights in an illustrious career is in trouble with the law. West Midlands favourite son and former Midlands Cruiser champ "Nige" blackmailed a man while working as a debt collector. A well known face around Wolverhampton, Rafferty will most likely have to serve a prison term for this offence.

Rafferty aged 37 who engaged in some memorable contests with the likes of Jason Brewster, Leif Keiski and Kelly Oliver threatened a man in connection with an unpaid debt of nearly £50,000. Nige who confirmed his local celebrity status by recently opening new nightclub "The Dawn" was found guilty and will soon be sentenced.

I've heard this bad news for Nigel has not gone down well in Wolverhampton.

I read about it in Boxing News mate, not a word in any of the papers about it. Read what you will into that.
