it says in the book Braddock that baer killed 3 men in the ring. frank campbell, ernie schaff , and someone i never heard of frank rudzenski. according to the book he KO'ed in the 3rd round of a 6 round bout. he was knocked through the ropes from what it says. it also states that he died 3 weeks later of injuries recieved in the ring during that bout. yet i check rudzenski's record and it said he fought 4 more bouts before retiring. what do you make of this? by the way the name of the book is Braddock

Well some of those old fighters were so tough and grizzled that death was not going to stop them from continuing there careers. That's the thing about today's fighters very few of them can carry on post mortem.

Expug, did that guy fight in the early/mid-80s? I remember seeing a guy doing that gimmick as a young lad but I can't for the life of me remember his name.

John Mugabi blasted him out in a couple of rounds on CBS, or one station. Johnson was a character. Like pug said, he was carried to the ring in a coffin and often wore a Dracula cape. He had moderate success, that is until he stepped up in class.
