Is the Lacy loss the last we will see of him ? I know he said in the post fight interview he would be back and he wasn't finished but who knows.
He is definately not the same fighter he was a few years ago but i would still like to see him have a few more fights. Personally i'd like to see him face Froch. Hopefully the ref will be a good un' too.

I think Reid VS Froch is very plausable. One last chance for Reid and a credible scalp for Froch.

I think he would beat Froch. Would love to see that 8) I've been a Froch fan up until Lacy and calzaghe was made. Now that Lacy will kill Calslapsie, Froch annoys me and is an arrogant C U N T. I think he'd spark Calslapery though.

I reckon Froch would take out Reid. Would you like to elaborate on your reasons for hating Froch, what you typed was a bit confusing.

Don't see Reid beating Froch at this stage, doesn't look to have the workrate or timing. Froch would beat him on points.

Can't beleive people are picking Reid over Froch.... I think it would have been a hard fight for Reid even at his peak, but now Froch would dismantle him and have an easier time than Lacy imo...

It would be a good match to make for Froch - Robin is past his sell by date, and has been for a good few years.
I always felt Robin has never quite lived up to his potential he was quite the prospect at one point.

Not just a prospect, a bona fide world champion too, and early in his career. Don't know what happened after that, lost some fights he seemed like he should have won and went into a big slump after that Calzaght fight. Think he spent too much time chasing Joe for a rematch that wsa never going to happen.

I don't think Reid has a lot left and am sure he doesn't want to be someone for up and comers to beat up on. His workrate is just so poor now anyone with an ounce of ability should be able to outbox him and stay awy from the odd powershot.
Would like to think Froch will be beyond Reid after Magee, there's starting to look like a lot of talent in this division for him to choose from

I think Reid hasn't really got the heart for it anymore, he was jobbed against Ottke, which was his best performance since the Calzaghe fight, but since then has just been going through the motions...

Yes, and that version of Ottke was seriously on the slide, he was a beltholder in name only, having looked piss poor against Larsen prior to that fight. Ottke was maybe a top 10 in the division at that point and was nowhere near his prime.

Reid at his peak would Ko Froch.
Froch throws too many wild swings keeping his guard down.

I think Reid's lack of activity has let him down in recent years. He seems to have been just waiting around for the big fights to come when he could have been keeping busy with other top 10 fighters.
At his age he should have been fighting more regularly against better competition than he did for the warm upfights before Ottke. But I agree he never did reach his full potential. He gave Calzaghe his closest fight to date but it all went downhill from there.
Reid would not beat Froch. Froch would KO him. I would also pick Brian Magee to beat Reid in a rematch. But credit to Reid. He brought a world title to Britain and did it the hard way in Italy. Good luck to him in whatever he decides to do.

I agree he could of got to his full potential, the guy was very talented and no one has really gave Calzaghe a fight like he did.
I meant Reid before Ottke/ Magee, he would of KO'ed Froch with that guard.
Prime Reid would of made Lacy eat the canvas too.
