So will it be Skelton or Williams?

If Danny Williams is in anything like good shape there is no doubt in my mind he'll win this fight clearly. The British champ has very little snap or accuracy on his punches after the first round, and it's only a matter of time before someone with a half decent technique properly punishes him on the inside when he approaches with that clumbsy style.

But is Williams in good shape? He's saying the right things at least, it'll be interesting to see on the night. Certainly the fighter who turned up for Audley won't be able to keep Skelton off him. But I suspect we'll see a big difference. He knew Harrison has always had zero stamina, Skelton at least will keep pushing himself forward no matter how knackered he is.

Hardly a confident pick given how reliable Danny is, but WILLIAMS TKO 4

Sticking with Skelton to win by UD

Got a feeling his higher work rate will mean he will win alot of the closer rounds on the judges cards

I think Skelton will out work him over the 12 round distance - For whatever reasons Williams never seems to be at one with boxing, whether that be mentally or physically.

The shape he turned up for Harrison was diabolical, and he was fortunate that a lot of people where more happy to discuss Harrison losing rather than focus on how unprepared and unprofessional he was in his preperation.

On saying that he has way more ability than Skelton but I don't see him using it to his advanatge when the big night arrives.

Less confident about DW after watching the Harrison farce. There's just too many excuses coming from him these days, but I've never rated Skelton so...

Williams TKO6

Its a pick 'em 50-50 fight.

With no conviction at all I'm going to go for Danny by late KO

Lets see if Skelton has a chin.

Danny to win. :TU:

If Williams is in any shape whatsoever then it should be good, although I'd say it would go to a decision.

If Williams employs the Kipling cake tactics again, then Skelton will stop him in 6-8 comfortably. Aubrey had a chance to stop Williams in the 11th, and that was after about 3 punches the previous 10 rounds.

I'll still stick with Skelton

Thats the key to the fight IMO, because if Skelton is still there at the final bell he wins

How can you say that?

Dudes skills are limited.

Weight will be fundamental for me.

If Williams is lightish - then he wins early/mid KO

If not - he loses via KO early/mid.

If Williams is above 18 1/2 stone I go for Skelton.

If Williams is below 18 stone, I go for him.

Between those figures, I'm not sure.

Williams has more skills but Skelton throws way more punches than the one paced Williams ever has done. Kind of balances itself out. Whatever Williams says in the press about being fit, Skelton will be in much better physical condition than he is on the night.

a "can't fight" fighter Vs a "can't train" fighter

If Williams has any shred of self worth left after dropping out last time and basing his training camp in Betty's Tea rooms last time out, I think he could stop Skelton

As it is, every time a fighter utters the words "I am in the best shape of my life" you know they are in no such thing. So, I pick Skelton to maul himself to an ugly win by a stoppage

because Skelton manages to smother most of his opponents work (he has done to date anyway, admittedly at a lower class than Danny), so I think that the fight will be predominantly scored on workrate and Skeltons workrate is phenomenal for a HW

Other than Sprott most of those guys were fat cruiserweights!

Krence was outboxing him till Skelton bust his ribs and he lacked power.

That Big bob guy rocked Skelton too so Danny definately could.

My pick is for Danny to win by late KO, but I think that if it goes the distance then Skelton will win on points. I have been wrong ONCE before though

Danny finds a way to lose this to an inferior fighter.

Maybe but we can;t be sure.

Most people expected Fraudly to beat him on points but we got suprised because of the hype it got.

Depends what Danny shows up.

My pick is Skelton KO. Partly because after seeing Danny in the corner vs Audley 10th rd I think. Well if Skelton gets Danny in that situation, Danny is gonna fold.

Skelton stops and exhausted Williams in 10.

I'll go for Skelton (T)KO 7 in a way similar to that with which Sam dealt with Williams. Going right through him....
