In all theoretical Matches invoving Norton people always say that he gets KO'ed, especially if it's against a big puncher. Now i'm not trying to porve this assumption wrong but I wanted to find out which big puncher in the heavy weight division Norton could have beaten and how?

Jaclem, how about Max Baer? If Max was distracted trying to impress the good looking women in the front row?

..buzz....ah yes...i have a warm spot for old maxie...and yes, if the mood was on him and he caught norton early it would be timber....but when norton came into the ring he was in shape....and a pretty good fighter...and was prepared for three minutes per round of fisticuffs. maxie...well, max kind of thought of the actual rounds as more of a social event...to see and be seen...and forsooth..was decisioned by lesser fighters than norton. in fact, he was decsioned by lesser fighters than himself.
it's purely theoretical.....but i think if only ugly women had been allowed in the arena when max fought he might have become an all time great.
even when you enter a post in jest i feel compelled to respond.

I'm sure Norton could have beaten many big punches. Foreman and Shavers were most likely the two hardest punching fighters in history. Cooney was no slouch either. He shook up Holmes and probably hit George harder than anyone in George's second career. Norton was a much better fighter than Baer, and even at Baers best I doubt he would have won.

I would give Norton a slim chance against Ron Lyle or Mac Foster, a real slim chance.

Norton DID beat some good punchers . . .Quarry, despite being past his best, could still bang and Ken took his shots fine, and he also took the best of Holmes without blinking (and Larry wasn't a KO artist but he showed he could hurt some durable guys) and beat Kirkman, Stander, and Bobick . . not great HWs but all three could knock you out with one good shot. The whole 'Norton couldn't handle any big puncher' is a myth. He lost to Foreman at George's ab. peak and then Shavers and Cooney (both MONSTER punchers) past his best. He also avenged his only other KO loss to Garcia.
