Yesterday there started a 24hour fighting channel in scandinavia. They show alot of boxing, MMA and strengh sports.
Yesterday they showed ESPN FNF, The recent Eagle Kyowa card and a "In this corner" + The Gracie fighting championships.

They will show all Top Rank cards (plus they have the rights to the back catalogue) & ESPN cards + they will show alot of other boxing fights from around the world.

To start with the channel is free on 1 west, No idea if you can see it in the UK via satellite.

What is the price Freiheit... I hope I read it wrong, but one of the post on the forum says 149 a month! - Was that 1 pound/euro 49 or 1 hundred and 49.

didn't it translate to 15 euros? that'll be somewhere between £10-£20. can't remember the currency rates.

I heard it was around £12 a month? Any card that features Eagle Kyowa is good for my money, he is a fantastic fighter.

Its around £13-14. Its sucks its 149kr a month in Denmark/Norway/Sweden since the danish krone rate is higher that both the swedish and norwegian krone.

£12 a month is a bit much for me, I'm afraid.

Not unless there was a way to drop some subscription channels that I don't watch and have this one instead. Its about a third of the whole sky package I am on.

Now I remember what the 3rd card that was shown friday was. It was the Hill vs Brudov card from january 24th.

I take it the back catalogue of Top Rank fights is from when ESPn televised them during the 80's? If so your lucky as hell. All I get is ESPN classic with there countless reruns of Ali and Robinson.

Will these be old shows from the back catalogue, or will they be recent shows?

Do you think Live boxing will be a possibility? Still think it there is a market for it in this day of multi channell TV - think there are lots of small hall fights in the Uk that could generate a small, but large enough, TV audience.

They will show Rahman vs Toney live same with Haye vs Johansen (including the 2 other scandinavian fights on the undercard).
It differs from card to card. They didnt show Branco vs Cotto live, but it was only with a few hours delay (They showed UFC live at that time).
This weeks latin fight night is: http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=483798 Its followed by a Guilty boxing card, its on at 4am CET, so it seems like its live

It will be easier how much boxing they show in a month and how much is live/nearly live

12 quid a month sounds fornicating good to me mate. Someone has had the sense to realise that there's room for a boxing channel. I'll subscribe at the first available opportunity.

Can you get this channel in the UK with a big porn dish.

The channel is on 1.West, coded in Conax. No idea how big a dish you would need, but you need around a 1 - 1,2 meter dish to see SKY here, maybe its the same thing the other way.

Edit: Doesnt look like that a huge disc is needed:
