bump...

now it's a one hour special:

Calzaghe v Lacy II ready to air You can watch Joe Calzaghe's sensational win over Jeff Lacy once again on ITV4 on Thursday night (March 9).

Calzaghe produced one of the greatest ever performances by a British fighter when he battered Lacy to a comprehensive points defeat at Manchester's MEN Arena in the early hours of Sunday.

And now you can watch the fight again when ITV4 broadcasts a special one-hour programme titled Joe Calzaghe - On Top Of The World.

The programme will also include an interview between ITV's Jim Rosenthal and Joe, filmed at his tribute dinner.

There will also be analysis from boxing experts including Barry McGuigan.

The show starts at 10pm GMT.

I've got it on tape, not much from it - most of the hour was the higlights of the fight - most of what Calzaghe said was very similar to what he said on Saturday.

Only bit of info that was added was Joe next fight - in July, in Cardiff.

Treating it as a homecoming, so I wouldn't expect too much of an opponent.

My money on Calzaghe's next opponent is Peter Manfredo, name fighter - seems to not mind the challenge, holds virtually no risk at Super Middle. Ideal.

Good call on Manfredo.

Was abit gutted they didn't show the whole fight, but show was OK.

I would never have picked Manfredo for Joe's next fight but i suppose its viable, he's a known fighter from being on the contender and i suppose it would bring the fans in, would be nice to see the likes of Ishe Smith & Alfonso Gomez on the undercard if this came off.

seems Warren wants Jones. but let's be real.

no way Jones is going to a) come over to the UK, especially not in July, b) risk taking a vicious beating, c) go down to super middle where he's not fought since 96.

if Joe isn't going to fight a superfight i.e. vs Kessler, i hope they bring in one of his mandatories. Rudy Markussen is a solid fighter

Now the bar has been raised higher. no one will accept another Salem or Ashira type of fight. Those types of fights are not worth the hassle of injury/suffering spoiling tactics

I`d like to see him fight Kessler, I think he needs to fight Kessler to say without doubt he has cleared up the division.

A Manfredo fight would keep the armchair fans happy, not sure if it could do well at the CIA but I guess with the Calzaghe hype at the moment it may just get more people through the door.

I don`t see any of the top Americans coming over to Britain, let alone Wales....they may give Joe a fight but it will be in the USA.

Kessler is my choice :TU:
