March 9th 1976. On this day 30 years ago....

At the Spectrum in Philadelphia Willie the Worm Monroe hung the only loss on Marvin Hagler that Marvin admits to. only 3459 spectators braved a rough snowstorm to see the fight. Of course in two later meetings, Marvin stopped "The Worm". In fact after this bout "Marvelous didnt lose another fight for 11 years.

I'd loved to have been there or even to have watched it on TV. Anybody seen the fight?

Ezzard, There is an excellent website Phillyboxinghistory.com. Look for the Date section you will find a calendar. Punch in the date of intrest.
