Things aren't looking too good for Biratins top 3 international heavyweights.

1. Danny Williams
Danny Williams had his 15 minuites of fame against Vitali Klitschsko, he was beaten convincingly. But in recent months he has defeated both Audley Harrison and Michael Sprout, he certainly is the best Hevayweight in Britain but he's a laughing stock over in America.


2. Michael Sprout
Michael Sprout had a big repuation until Williams brought im down to Earth, I haven't got a clue where he goes form here.


3. Audley Harrison
So bad, I need not comment.

Michael Sprott = Matt Skelton ?

Things ain't looking good for heavyweights in general. Williams 2 recent wins over Britains top heavyweights, a win over Tyson and general decent opposition through his career has his record about on par with anyone else in the heavyweight division at the moment. Yeah, he did get destroyed by Vitali but so would nearly every other heavyweight out there presently which makes it a pity that he retired.

If youre going to knock our heavies can't you at least try and spell their names right?.... how about doing a list of the top heavyweights in America?.... if you can find any that is!!...... 8)

I'm just trying to ignore the heavyweight division altogether. It's a mess wherever you look.

It is bad.

Danny Williams is currently the best-placed Briton after his wins over the undefeated Skelton and Harrison. But the problem with that is that Harrison has skill but is totally lacking guts, whilst Skelton has guts but is totally lacking skill. Nevertheless, both were SDs. If his heart and mentality is there, his fitness isn't, and if he even moved back up to euro level now it would be a repeat (if not worse) of the SSS fight. A world title fight is a joke. He would not beat any of the current " world champions," but if he does get a shot I think that says something about boxing as a whole these days.

Matt Skelton has had a good run, but the Williams fight just proved how limited skills can hold you back. He's had a fair crack at things. I hope he can win the Lonsdale outright before calling it a day.

Sprott is, in a way, not doing too bad. He's the youngest of the four, and despite racking up a number of losses (incl Mat and Danny) he's shown in his last couple of fights he has the ability to get himself in a better position than he is in currently. The lack of power his management has is a downfall though (for example, if the Virchis fight had been in the UK, it could well have been a different result.) He could just do with a couple of crappy EU fights in the UK, get things together, and get another crack at te European champion.

Harrison. As crease says, nothing needs said here. A win against Guinn though, would put him back in a decent positino, although how he'll beat even Guinn given the Williams performance I don't know.

And that's it. Gammer and Steeds (and Kenna?) may be the best of the rest if and when the first four more off the domestic scene. Morgan, Rogan (both of whom have been on SN card) and Millarvie may be built up as the next undefeated hopes, but world, even euro class, I don't know whether they're up to it.

Where's Herbie? Get him out of caribou and mountie land and put him in with Haye. That fight would be ideal to watch for people who hate the adverts in between rounds

What do you mean by international Heavyweight? Do you mean UK based Heavyweights whom at sometime in their career have fought overseas?

(Never heard of a Michael Sprout maybe you mean Michael Sprott??)

Wrong, last time Williams fought Michael Sprott Williams lost on poinrs in 2004. I also think his 15 minutes of fame was more to do with his win over an old Mike Tyson.

Assuming you mean Michael Sprott I disagree that he had a big reputation before his last WINNING fight against Danny William, However I still think Sprott can continue to be a force at domestic level, for a while.

Harrison has the physical tool to be a force at world level but appears to lack something in his 'mindset'.

I am surprised you have left out Matt Skelton who recently gave Danny Williams a very tough and close fight and has also beaten Michael Sprott (Sprout?)

I'd actually venture to say that the British heavyweight scene is actually healthier and far more interesting than the American heavyweight scene... Williams vs Skelton was a far better fight than I've seen between any two American heavyweights for a long time.....

Crease after your post regarding the best middleweights of all time I think you should be banned from ever posting again!

Anyone know who Sprout is fighting next? If only he was a welterweight, we could have Bruseles-Sprout.

Not another fight with cabbage Ok, if Sprott comes through that one, and gets past Scott Gammon on the domestic front, I think he should get a deal in the US and fight Tye green curry Fields. I've heard tell that Mote Carret is in need of a fight too. If Sprout wins that one, I'd guess it would lead to a final eliminator against Sultana Ibragimov, and, fingers crossed, a shot at Lemon Brewster.
