Personally I would be rooting for Abraham, only seen him fight twice but he is good to watch.

Still puzzled about Sturm's status - if he is the ordinary WBA champ and Taylor the super-champ, he would not be allowed to unify.

If the fight comes about, Sturm would be the favorite in my book. Abraham is a bit the Jeff Lacy of the middleweight division - strong, exciting to watch, convincing against mediocre opposition, but in the end pretty limited.

I think it could be a decent fight. Sturm looked impressive against DeLaHoya and i thought he was on the end of a bad decision . Abraham should have had Shannon Taylor out of there in the early rounds he has no chin and has been KOd at 147 by Mediocre opposition. It depends if Abraham can lift himself for this fight because if he shows up as he did against Taylor he will be beaten by a wide margin.

Abraham came to Germany when he was 14 years old and Sturm was born in Germany. Both learned boxing in Germany. So where is your damn problem?

Would have thought this fight would be worth more than 1 million euros to Strum, biggest fight that there could be in Germany at the moment.

absolutely. Sturms management said they only discuss with Sauerland when the matchup with Brähmer vs Beyer is also be made. I would expect 15 million TV viewers, so the purse should be higher. IMO Sauerland just wanted to provoke Universum and get some press appearance.

Seems that Sturm might be a little more popular in Germany. Sturm had 5.97 mill viewers for his fight vs Masoe while Abraham had 4.71 mill for his. But it has to be taken into account that Sturms fight started 22.30 while Abrahams started 23.25.

I have no problem; I just doubt that they can trigger the same affection as home-born and -raised fighters.
