Really getting into these now after an excellent days competition.

The Super Heavyweight devision is looking good for the Brits. It could be a tasty Evans vs Pryce final. I do fancy the Englishman to beat Evans- who should have been fighting at Heavyweight.

The Scots heavyweight has impressed me.

James Degale looks an absolute shoeing for the Gold also.

Neil Perkins hasn't been that convincing yet, but haven't seen anyone who I think will beat him and I am sure Frankie Gavin will secure Gold also.

Jeffries is another fighter who looks the part.

Flyweight is the class that looks the most competitive, Nassir from Wales and Langley England are considered the favourite, but I like that guy who fought before Langley today - think he was from Swaziland, I think he could upset the two.

been watching it non stop on BBCi and some of the reffing has been terrible..

Thought Perkins did well against a dangerous Canadian yesterday, took him a couple of rounds to get into his boxing, but once he got it together he looked good.

anybody know how jefferies has gone on?

perkins did do well against the canadian yesterday.although the canadian did seem to run out of steam a bit.the ref in that fight was a complete joke!!the problem is,we have all these small two-bob nations making up the numbers,and that means we have to have there sub-standard refs too.you can never compare the quality of reffing in a country like england to say trinidad,cook islands etc... thats why there are a few dodgy refs.we get the best refs from these countries,which are far lower in quality compared to the bigger nations like ours.

A young lad from Northern Ireland got knocked out badly yesterday, he was knocked down heavily but rose from it, the ref should have stopped it then, he was allowed to go on and suffered a very heavy knock-out.
Looking at it though the young lads corner could have stopped it after the first knockdown as well.

Yeah, that was a shocker. The Scottish lad was a mile ahead on points as well, no way should the Irish fella have been allowed to carry on and take that extra punch.

I have quite enjoyed what I've seen though, although most names are escaping me. Who were the two guys, one Welsh, another Northern Irish, whose fight ended 24-23 after a frantic last round? That was well worth watching.

That fight should definetly have been stopped after the first knockdown , either the Scottish lad has huge power or the Northern Irish lad has a terrible chin because those were two brutal knockdowns . The N.Irish lad showed a lot of heart getting up from the first one .

Think in this case it was a fully grown man against a lad of 17 who didn't have the natural strength yet, The NI lad showed that there isn't much wrong with his chin by the way he rose from the first knockdown, alot of boxers wouldn't have got up from that shot.
It was an unfortunate case of Man against Boy

The scousers are doing well in the games.

Anyone know what happend to the evening session today on interactive. It is usually shown live from 7:30 am on interactive, but it hasn't been on.

I have had the multiscreen on the background all day whilst doing "research".

I don't think I missed it - but am gutted at this. Although its typical of the BBC's attitude to the sport.

I believe the Degale fight has been shown, but not live and not as part of the interactive service.

If anyone did catch it, let me know please.

Jeffries is out - lost to the Scot, who watched the film "Braveheart" to inspire him.

I like the look of Price. A 6'6" Heavyweight with power and is not afraid to work a little in the ring. I hope he turns pro, could be a force at least domestically.

He definately wobbled with one of the shots today - Price that is.

Could have a tough one in the semi's against the guy who has just beaten the hero of the games (Camille). He floored Camille with the first punch of the contest.

Think Evans will make the final, but will lose to Price or the Indian (I do think Price will win, but it could be tough).

That Brad Pitt of Austrailia looks pretty good now, I think even Bellow might have struggled vs him.

Price wasn't wobbled at all?

I think he relies on his height too much though since they don't seem to get past his long arms much.

He was caught by a cracking shot in his haste to finish his man off, but I thought he recovered quickly.

Jamie Cox (Russan) was excellent outpointing the Australian guy. Score seemed too close to me but as long as the right man won. Cox displayed superb fitness throughout. His Semi final against Welshman Crease is a must see.

Kenneth Anderson is great to watch and fully deserved the spoils over Tony Jefferies.

Cox and Gavin have been my two pick of the games so far. Both shud medal - Frankie shud get gold.

Yeah, Gavin looks really self-assured out there. It's going to take someone special to beat him.

Anderson has impressed me, he looks very strong and puts his punches together well, looks to have good power as well, he might struggle if he comes up against a good moving boxer type though.

Anderson has more of a 'Pro' style then alot of the boxers at the games,

No idea, but now he's guaranteed a medal you would expect the usual suspects to try and lure him over to the pro scene.

Despite the stunning manner of his first two stoppage wins, Anderson doesn't appear hell bent on scoring the knockout, which is probably why they ko's have come his way. Even the very useful Jefferies had to resort to spoiling to make it through to the finish.

Yes he did do that, but the shot did stun him (probably a better word than wobble).

He was definatley stunned by the shot, but he walked right onto it, seemed to carry it quite well. Mind you, the kiwi fella was about 4 foot shorter than him :)

Gavin has looked very good but I think Zappavigna is on for the gold. He starts very very fast he's brilliant coming forward and being an Aussie won't do him any harm with the judges and ultimately I think this is what might help him see Gavin off. Shame these two aren't meeting in the final as they're two of the most impressive boxers I've seen in the games.
