That's a horrible run of fights.

If this is true, it's a pile of poo. Big money cash out against Gatti, who may well have lost by the time Hatton beats the other two.
I knew he wouldn't be facing Mayweather this year, but I'd hoped for a little better than this.

It's apparent it wasn't always Frank.

It may well be the plan, but how many times has this one bout been fcked around? Planning a series of three fights is fine in principle but it's not going to happen.
There are so many things wrong with this one it's not true. He boxes at welter then has to go back down to light-welter to face a speedster in Rabah, then gets to square off against Gatti by which time Gatti be 62 with a physical age of 153.

I may be late, but I thought Colazo had a defense against Urkal scheduled.
Has this fallen through?

If he takes the Collazo fight why bother with Rabah? Vacate at 140, move up to 147 and unify with Gatti if he beats Baldomir.

Christ whats happened to this division. Just over a year or so ago it was the strongest divison in boxing.
There was Vicious Vivian Harris (WBA champ), Arturo Gatti (WBC Champ), Miguel Cotto (WBO champ), Kostya tzsyu (IBF Champ), Ricky Hatton (WBU Champ) and Floyd Mayweather.
Now we all know whats happened over the last year possibly the year of the Upset but we've got the Great Kostya Tzsyu Dancing with the stars, 3 Champions Dethroned and Gatti and PBF going up to Welterweight.
I can understand Gatti trying to escape the division of death but as for mayweather he didn't even defend his title and team Hatton not even able to scrape a bar brawl for young Richard.
What is it they say "Nothing can surprise you in Boxing"

Thats exactly the sort of run of fights i'm expecting.
His fight in May will be against an inferior oponent, thats for certain. Then his camp will tell us he must defend against Rabah to keep his belt (i'm sure this has already been ironed out with the networks and approved). Then, it will be up to welter to fight Gatti (assuming he beats Baldomir).
Its shocking, but not surprising. Hatton wants no part of Cotto. The scenario has always been the same with Hatton and Calzaghe. Their immediate fight is always just a making time fight for the big one thats comming right at the back of it.... yawn....... Calzaghe is set to fight on July 8th, against fcuking who? its TBA again. I garauntee its a fringe top 10 oponent, a making time oponent, while we are promised a big name for late Autumn.
