i think it's a disgrace the way King's let Adamek go inactive. i know DK got TA his big shot in the first place, but King's done bollocks since taking TA over to Germany to beat Ulrich. This is poor, considering that TA is a skilled, durable guy who can really fight, and could draw big crowds in Chicago.

Well done that man! He is a very talented fighter but King is stalling his career big time. I think Adamek was hoping for a couple of good name oponents before he has to go through with the Briggs rematch. Maybe the only thing King is interested in for him 'is' the Briggs rematch?

King probably won't get TA another fight until Golota gets his next title shot, fukcing disgrace

Ademek is a joke he wont fight Briggs again and when King trys to make it happen he files a law suit. The first fight was so close that they should have had an imediate rematch.

If you seen the fight you would no why, It was one of the best 175 pound fights i have seen and could have gone either way on the scorecards.

He has avioded it since the first fight.

i have to say its very unusual to find a fighter who doesnt want to to fight an opponent... especially an eastern european fighter...

It could well be his team or promoter who doesnt want the fight...

Shame as someone is depriving the boxing world a great rematch and surely a decent money fight!!!

Adamek would win the rematch more decisively, i'm sure of it. Briggs was flattered that night and is nothing more than a big slugger, albiet an above average one. Adamek is a far classier fighter and has the scope to potentially rule the division. There is no hope of Briggs ever doing that.

Adamek beat Briggs fair and square - albeit very closely. Tomasz went into the fight with a broken nose. This guy's a warrior and he needs fights - I don't see any evidence that he ducked Briggs II

Both guys are improving, but DK needs to do something with them. In that article Adamek's guy says that perhaps King has more fighters than he can cope with. I've long felt that was the case: he seems to have a piece of so many fighters but can't deliver on the the agreed schedules (i.e. 4 fights a year) nor an he - with some fighters like Byrd - deliver on the money he promises

Would be very surprised if Adamek is ducking Briggs, might be a bit naive but Adamek doesn't seem to be that sort of character. He gave it everything in with Briggs that night in what was a classic brawl which i agree could have gone either way. Then Adamek travels to Germany to take on Ulrich in his first defence...doubt very much Adamek is avoiding Briggs.

seems like Adamek must face Briggs, his mandatory, by October. I think the point of contention is that TA wanted some keep busy fights/easy money before he wages world war three again, with Briggs.

I don't know who King wants to win. By keeping both idle he's doing neither man any favours. I wouldn't be surpised if DK only wanted TA so he could make sure the Golota-Brewster in Chicago of '05 sold out. King seemed to want the young and hungry (relatively) Briggs to take on Tarver, after Tarver KO'd Jones, so I wouldn't be surprised if Briggsy is in DK's longer term plans.

I'll vomit if we only ever see Adamek when Golota is pulled off the manure pile for his next title shots

Did you see Ademek get wobbled in that fight, I don't think he wants any part of Briggs and is going to aviod the fight. Briggs fought with that cut from the early rounds if he dosn't get cut again he will win by Late stoppage.

Adamek already had a broken nose, that impaired TA more than Brigg's 2nd rd cut. Yes, TA ate up some massive shots, and he was in a bad mess at the hospital afterward. But he still outworked the guy and fought like a warrior.

Adamek's not ducking Briggs. I think the main point of contention is that King didn't make any warmup fights for him to keep him active and making money. King offered TA a measly $200,000 for a fight with Del Valle which is supposed to ahve violated the contract
