Danny Williams and Matt Skelton have agreed to a rematch at Manchester's MEN Arena on 15 July.
Commonwealth heavyweight champion Williams took a split decision against British champion Skelton last month.

The winner could go on to fight for a world title later this year, according to promoter allegedly.

Russia's WBA champion Nikolay Valuev, who will defend his title on 3 June, has been touted as the most likely world-title opponent in the past.

Williams and Skelton will return to action in separate non-title bouts at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, on 1 April

Makes sense this rematch, Probably the biggest earner that either of them could have at the moment.
I don't know where this leaves Scott Gammer, out in the cold, or maybe he will fight someone else for the British title.

The first fight was hideous I suppose its the best fight out there at heavyweight domestically thats a sad state of affairs IMO if that mauling session is the best we have to offer among the big men!

The better boxer normally wins the refight, so it should be Williams.

Lets hope the ropes are tighter this time, Skelton could have come close to stopping Williams in the first fight but for him going over the top rope constantly.

Getting back to topic, i think this is great, i think Skelton wins this next time out or Williams by late KO, i think Skelton might get disqualified because i cant see many refs letting him get away with it this time round.

I should think so, id done well last time out, the public will be in demand for it especially after the last nout.

this fight should be in london, i cant see them drawing a big crowd at the men arena when the excel arena still had some empty seats. should be a good fight, but reckon danny will scrape home again.

What's the English opinion on this fight...does there really need to be a second one...or is there a lot of excitement over there for these two to fight again..

I know in the US, the love for heavies has dwindled greatly, so to see two middle of the road contenders mix it up, we don't see much about it.

Yes the announcers were a bit annoying in regards to this. Willimas appeared to me to lean back as far as he could on those slack ropes and went over more because of himself then Skelton pushing him.

Exactly it did. Now people have seen what a good fight it was the've got a bigger arena becasue im sure now what people seen it like in the first fight they'll wanna go to the 2nd one.

To be honest I am not that excited about it, their first fight was horrible. If Williams bothered to get in shape he would beat Skelton easily but he chooses to turn up lardearsed up to the max and makes a horrible maul of it. Skelton for all his lack of style actually trained for the fight and worked his socks off.

Good god this is embarresing. Didn't watch the first fight because I had to watch some paint drying action or something (think I was drunk) and by all accounts the snooze fest I predicted did happen. And god bless warren he is doing it again because the public wil watch anything if it is HW and the might be a KO.

So, what I'm understanding is Audley is not even in the picture anymore over there...what happens if he loses to Guinn? Just quit?

If Skelton wins, match III is nailed on too.
Sounds a bit like 2 fighters going nowhere to me.
OK, they'll pocket some cash, but if either really believed they were able to fight at a higher level, then they'd be out frying them bigger fish.
Still, I'll be tuning in.
