Just reading that Danny Williams has made it a condition that there must be a different referee than Terry O'conner who refereed their first fight for the return.
I assume the job will go to one of the other bigger referees, Richie Davies, Dave Parris maybe. who do you think should get the job.

Why does Danny want a ref who lets Skelton get away with everything?

Richie Davies is a good ref but i worry about him, he's a big fella as it is and sometimes he gets so irate i think he's about to explode. Ian John Lewis is a decent ref they should use him or maybe Mark Green. Green did a good job in the recent Masamori Tokuyama V Jose Navarro WBC fight, they could do worse.

I think Terry O Conner helped Williams alot in that fight, as he stopped Skelton mauling. A change of ref might be a mistake!!

Are you fornicating mad? The ref should have deducted points off Skelton during that fight, he warned him over and over again without ever even giving him an official or final warning, that was PATHETIC and weak refereeing of the highest order.

Terry O'Conner is a diabolical ref - Anyone would be an improvement over him.

I agree
Richie Davis done well on Friday, I'd give him the very difficult job of reffing Williams-Skelton 2

Lets be honest its not surprising, Warren was rooting for Skelton in the first fight. Hence why no effort was made to secure the promised 'big' fight when Williams actually won. They are both Sports Network fighters but Skelton is the house fighter effectively in this matchup.

Heard that Tyson has been doing some reffing lately, maybe he will take the job?

I must say, Warren didn't look over the moon that Danny won, you can't blame him in a way after he pulled out just before the Skelton fight last time with 24 hours notice. there was a tightness about the face during the interview which I thought spoke volumes.

The whole fight was horrible. Yes Skelton was mauling but Williams was no angel himself. And the slack ring ropes saved Williams on a number of occasions AND made Skeltons mauling look worse than it was IMO. Lets hope they get a decent ref and a decent ring this time and it will surely make for a better fight. They could both do with losing at the very least 10lbs too!

I see where your coming from with Richie Davies, a good ref though. I'd go for him Dave Parris or Howard Foster I remember him taking a point of Skelton in one fight and threatening to throw him out.

Yeah but Danny wasn't constantly hiting Skelton below the belt or clashing with his head.
Constant Ruiz like holding too!
