Was a tremendous boxer. He was never knocked down in 126 pro fights. Has there been any other fighters in boxing history to have this many fights without ever being knocked down?

don't know all i know is he is one of the most horribly underated fighters of all time. i rate billy graham in my top 20 welters of all time. he is largely forgotten. i have his fight with kid gavilan the one where he got robbed of victory. graham looks very good.

when people talk about greatest chins, his name never gets mentioned.

..glad to see someone else writing about billy graham here.....regulars know i am very high on him and have commented accordingly. he fought the top men in three divisions...starting as a lightweight and finishing as a middle. superb all around boxer with a stiff but not a knockout punch...great chin. as i've pointed out before....he was clever but anyone with that many fights against that opposition is going to get hit...yet he never hit the canvas. one of my favorite of his fights was against paddy young...a middle when billy was starting to slide...but he made it into a textbook boxing lesson.

basilio fought him twice. carmine said of his various opponents...robinson hit hardest, gavilan was the quickest....and graham was the smartest...and said his matches against him made him (graham) a smarter fighter himself.
