Harrison vs Guzman - On/Off/On/Off/On.

Some good pieces on BBN about this. It does sound like it is off. Warren has spoken on BBN and says its on, but he cannot make Guzman get on the plane.
Warren is claiming that Guzman cannot fight anyone apart from Harrison - but surely thats all Guzman needs to request is for him not to be the mandatory and he will be free from the obligation.
Not going very well, we have an big Irish ticket seller fighting in London, and a big London ticket seller now (it appears) headlining in Ireland.

Well if it isn't on, I thought it was quite scandalous how many times ITV plugged it last night... Much more than on other occasions, I just hope it was for Warren to get his message accross to fans with internet access that are assuming its off.

Yup, I missed it on Friday because I was out, so was relieved to see it on ITV4.
Didn't miss much fireworks other than Sketlon KO'ing dangerous, lefty, 5 foot 5 Valuev lookalike with two body shots, and Ricky Burns brutally knocking out a mismatched Frenchman. The main event was competitive and hard fought, but Simpson's lack of power and Foster's lack of energy doused the flames quite a bit.

Who do you think Harrison should fight now since the guzman fight is basically dead in the water. Marquez would be a good choice but you would probably have to delay it by 5 months as he is still getting over the john fight. John wont come over here. Move up? i think it will be another soft fight before trying to get a big fight in the summer. i feel sorry for scott.

Sorry, but there is still a unfinished business with Victor Polo - thats who I want to see in with Harrison.

I too would like a rematch with Polo but after that Marquez schooling I think Polo hung it up.

Hey boxing chat how come the york hall was empty on saturday. (top section closed off) i thought Skelton Oakey andFoster would of brought some fans with them. Do you think people are losing intrest. Think the next SN card with Mitchell should sell out.

I've seen Magee fight nights with large crowds in Ireland (good atmosphere especially for the Elliot fight).
And Tak, not sure if it is his fans or the opponents fans but he has had good crowds headlining aswell.

Magee (Eamonn) sell loads Magee (Brian) sells nothing.
Kings Hall will be sold out in two-weeks. York Hall won't be ever.

Yes, Eamonn is a big ticket seller, by the crowds not many people took up the refund option following the Calzaghe vs Magee (Brian) fiasco... and for that reason I think Tak vs Magee would have sold out the York Hall aswell as the Kings Hall.
Magee (Brian) vs Froch will struggle at the York Hall, but would have definately done better at the Kings Hall.

Kings Hall holds 8k and York Hall holds just 1,200. Hard to see your point. Brian Magee don't sell shit in Ireland. Is this a bigger fight than Robin Reid and that didn't sell, people were walking out half way.

I dont see a good future for boxing so i would rather put my millions into something else.

Appologies, I didn't realise there was such a big difference between the two venues in terms of size. Knew the Kings Hall was bigger, but not by that much - though the York Hall held more and Kings Hall held less than your figures.
