Well, Skelton got through his warm up, although wasn't a flawless performance and at times I was worried for him (although, I did want him to lose, nothing personal or anything.... I just don't want to see this rematch - think Williams should be moved back into world class).

What do you guys think of the warm up performance and the psychology between the two. Danny seemed ultra confident of a KO - I hope he is not over confident and will skip a few training session, have to say he did look in much better shape. I don't think he was lying when he said 18 st 8, which is still not great but an improvement.

i'm not exactly counting down the days for this rematch either. i hope the men arena is half empty.

Danny will win againprobably.

I failed to see the controvesy in the first fight.... and I think not only was it Williams who fought below par (and Skelton on par) the ref did Williams no favours.

I can only see one winner of the rematch, don't think Skelton has the nouse to finish off Williams if (or when) he hurts Danny.

Only way he could hurt Danny is with combinations and even then you need enough.

And Skeltons no heavy hitter as much as Tyson was to hurt Danny with one uppercut!

No contest,skelton can`t box,can`t defend,certainly can`t punch,never fought any decent fighter,except Williams,and williams was still way overweight,if williams can get in good shape,i can`t see skelton lasting three rounds,even if williams does`nt knock him out ,the ref will have to stop it,it amazes me some of the jokers on here who say he`s a good fighter,get a life!

The great thing is that many saw the fight on ITV, and were heartened by a great scrap, which it was. Thus it would be fair to say that the fans will tune in again to see another great contest. OK, we boxing fans know how things stand in the grand scheme of things in the heavyweight division, but to the casual fan, it'll be (hopefully) a good ol' scrap, and the winner a star in this country. They'll be talking about the fight afterwards, and the name of Danny Williams or Matt Skelton will be up in lights. Joe Calzaghe did the biz a few weeks ago, so it'll be a heavyweight that holds centre stage in boxing.

Let's just hope a great fight is brewing.

After Matts fight Danny said he was down to 18 and a half stone with a view to get down to 18 for their next fight, must admit, I thought he looked quite trim.

Made me chuckle when Matt was asked about the quality of his opponent and his physical attributes (or in this case, lack of), Matts retort was, ''Well he wasn't an adonis like me'', quality! and the fact that Danny was trying his best to wind Matt up, which was a bit of a wasted effort as Matt didn't rise and obviously couldn't be bothered with Dannys Bully Beef playground approach

Also got the impression that Danny seems very confident maybe on the point of over confident as mentioned earlier, again I must agree with the general opinion on this thread that Danny will probably win their next bout.

i do not agree. i think skelton will win the 2nd fight. i had him winning the first although the warning didnt help his cause. this time i hope the commentary is a little more fair to skelton. cant help liking the guy he's more exciting than a lot of brit-heavys and seems to enjoy a ruck - perhaps i'm saying this because i still feel cheated by audrey

I agree, I think Skelton could easily win the rematch - Williams is so erratic and I can't help but feel he is going to come into the rematch far too complacent.

On saying that, I don't see him stopping Williams, he doesn't hit hard enough - The only way is to out work him which in my view he already done in the first fight, so I figure the same ethic would work again.

Not a great rematch really, not one to get overly excited about anyway.

A agree, i remember you all rooted for Williams this first fight, but all of us scored it to Skelton, i think there is too much lack of determination in Williams, we cud have a "Frindge Wolrd Class Fighter" but he decised to eat cakes and pizza during build up to fights, which i think is discraceful

A fair few (albeit a minority) scored it for Williams.

Skelton's own fault for losing as he lacked cleaner fighting.

Hope Danny wasn't lying when he said he was 18 stone 8lbs when watching Skelton because any lower and Skeltons getting KO'ed.
