A MAN has been charged with trying to murder Hollywood star Brad Pitt's body double.

John Drummond was accused of the knife attack on ex-boxer Scott Dixon last Wednesday.

But the former Commonwealth champ and his friend Charles Dempsey are also charged with an assault on Drummond.

The charges arose from the same alleged incident near Drummond's home in Hamilton. Dixon and Dempsey have appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court facing charges of assaulting Drummond.

Drummond also appeared at Hamilton, charged with two counts of attempted murder.

All three men made no plea or declaration and were bailed pending trial.

In 2004, thugs ended Dixon's ring career when they broke his legs.

Former pro boxer Garry McMillan was jailed for five years for the assault.

In 2001, Dixon was Pitt's double in the acclaimed film Snatch.

Wasn't he involved with your pro career? Or is he no longer part of it?

well one of the reasons hes not involved is that he wasnt reliable to turn up for training due to a few scraps of his own.
the less i say the better as he is a good guy deep down.
