Hi everyone,

Thanks in advance for any help you can give to this newbie.

My dad grew up in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, NY and was a boxing fan in his youth.

Since his heart attack in 2004, dad's memory is a little sketchy, especially short term, but he remembers watching a televised bout between Jimmy Herring & Johnny Britenbruck. He asked me to look on the internet o see what I could find out.

So far as I can ascertain, the two only met once in the ring.
Saturday, April 08, 1950 at the Ridgewood Grove.

Really looking for any surviving video or a radio broadcast.

I know that's a tall order, but I'm spitballing here. Any clues as to where I might find an article about the event would be great too.
