Watched Bell Vs Mormeck earlier and man, he's like a tank!

Only reason he was downed for the first time was because he was exhausted and Haye surely doesn't hit harder than Bell does he?

Would love to see how long Mormecks chin lasts against Haye's punches.

Problem with Mormeck is why has he been so inactive fighting once a year?

Can Raffthefrenchman or anyone enlighten me on that?

Would be great to see two heavyhitters fight.

Great Match-up two fighter's i like a lot!

King has a piece of most of the top cruisers, but he only puts on fights when he has a use for them on an undercard. He'll probably put Mormeck back in with someone tough, even after a devastating stoppage loss. A guy like JMM needs to be active and build back to a title shot. But he'll just be slung in when King can finally put him to some use. Really superficial.

Mormeck V Bell was a great fight, Bell just showed loads of resiliance and eventually wore Mormeck down. Mormeck would be too relentless for Haye i would imagine, Mormeck is a come forward pressure fighter and would be in Haye's face round after round. Haye punches really hard but Mormeck has a good chin and could absorb the shots and bull into Haye. I don't think Haye has the stamina to last and the power won't keep the Frenchman off for long enough.

Its way too soon to be putting Haye in with guys like Mormeck, he needs more learning fights first.

He'll learn more with every fight. Johansen took him a few rounds there are plenty of guys around who can do that. There is no way he could go into a fight with Mormeck never having done the 12 rounds, I very much doubt they would do that. Can he do 12 hard rounds though?

So realistically, who next for Haye?

I agree, Haye needs to learn to adapt better, at the moment he is ok when fighting at the pace he dictates, but against a pressure fighter like the monstrous Mormeck or Bell I think he would be in very hot water.

Someone like Hobson would be ideal, not too big a puncher, but determined, and with enough ability and resilience to give Haye a hard night's work.

I was just about to post Hobson myself, although he is coming off a defeat he proved his durability there so should give Haye more much needed rounds. Lets not get carried away with Haye, he is talented but still a relative novice pro despite being European champion.

Why fight Mormeck when Bell's got all the belts?

I really want to see Haye in with Hobson, its the type of opponent Haye needs and it would be a good opportunity for Hobson to further raise his profile. I don't think Hobson is going to get sanctioned by the EBU at the mo for a shot at the title seeing as hes coming off a loss and he's been inactive of late.

Haye should only fight Mormeck if he wants to get beat.

Haye Should fight Carl Thompson next.

I would suggest he should fight Hobson next, as you say he has the power to remove Hobson but Hobson is resilient and will keep coming forward, the experience would do Haye no harm at all. Alternatively put him in with Carl Thompson again or someone like Ismael Abdoul, he may be a step down at this point though and would he teach Haye anything other than being a human punchbag for 12 rounds or less?

Rothmann, Hobson, Enzo, Mormeck/Bell would be a good progression.

Don't see the need to fight Mormeck - don't think the risk/reward ratio is good enough now Mormeck isn't champ.

Bell hasn't got all the belts. Johnny Nelson has the WBO belt. And, hear this:

no, but he's always been a good terroriser of british fighters. he still must be good to have given Thompson and Bell such trouble. he does have wear and tear, hand problems, etc...one reason I called for a rematch is I like how good Hobson looked vs Macca. First viewing I had him winning, 2nd viewing I had it a draw. He's very solid now.

I think alot of Rothman's problems are psychological, seems to have Beyer esque problems in closing fights off.

He should have beaten Thompson and he was well on the way to upsetting Bell.

A very dangerous fighter still.
