Khan's next fight

Amir Khan will take on former European champion Laszlo Komjathi at the Belfast King's Hall on May 20

Never heard of him
But:
- He's a light-welter
- He's evidently got a bit of pedigree and has been in with some decent fringe guys
- Loss to Willy Blain last time out will be an interesting barometer.

Sounds like a very good opponent for Khan.
Komjathi never beat any top class fights but his reaocrd is still decent (He want European champ, just challenger). He has only 1 real KO defeat so thats a plus also.
All in all I think Komjathi is a good next level opponent for Khan, a win would probably have secured an EBU rating if he were eliagble.

Khan is still down to fight Madole, maybe this guy is next in line.
He will be slightly better opponent than what we`re used to for Khan, a higher stoppage ratio than the usual suspects but just look at who his stoppages were gained against.
The best result I see on his record was against the ancient Stefano Zoff.
Not sure if he is a `real` lt-welter or just an overweight lightweight.

Good opponent at this stage, atleast he's fought at a decent level. Hopefully he's good enough to counter any mistakes Khan makes, and take him a few rounds. If Khan takes this guy out early I might start believing the hype.

Perfectly good opponent this. Laszlo Komjathi has boxed at a good level , and is a good step up for Khan.

Seems like a good fight for Khan at this stage in his career. Reckon Khan will stop him.

Good fight, Komjathi did okay in the rematch with Lauri. Although Lauri did dominate.

That is a dramatic step up. When Ahunanya fought new WBO champ Lyakhovich wasn't it Ahunanya considered the bigger prospect? and the favourite?

It was so close, that I just needed to check his record - I thought it was a draw, but your right.
It was razor tight and perhaps the draw would have been fair.
It was on Sky PPV, Lewis vs Rahman II card.

Maybe they have heard that Ahunyana is shot? Not that I've heard that, but you often get fights like this occuring when the inside track says a guy who is a good name is shot to pieces. Bit like Cherifi who was for years a decent name as an opponent long after he ceased to be any kind of threat.

They probably saw that he lost to Sultan Ibragimov in his last fight...
Povetkin and Ibragimov will know each other very well as they fought on the same russian amateur team for several years together...
Povetkin, olympic champ at 91+ probably knows he is better than Ibragimov who won silver (all be it against legend Savon) at 91kg four years earlier...
