How many times in his career was Nigel Benn floored? I can remember Logan, Watson, Eubank, McLennan (twice) and DeWitt but I'm sure there are others.

Any ideas.....

he is guest speaker on a boxing show in leeds on may 9th, why dont you come along?

Going from memory in the first fight Benn was stopped on his feet against the ropes.

Second fight Benn was never down.

When he fought Galvano he won easily but in the 12th he got caught with a minute to go and nearly got stopped. Funny thing about Benn was that most people say his chin let him down. But his recovery against McClellen from both knockdowns was excellent. He was out on his feet but somehow recovered very quickly. I think he got beat by Eubank and Watson cos he punched himself out. When he moved up to SM his stamina got much better, probably cos he didn't have to 'make' the weight and he became a much better boxer. Has he got older he used his power better and if he couldn't KO someone he would settle for a win on points.

Good points, although I have seen the Galvano rematch recently, and it was a much closer fight than my memory of it..... Had it gone to Galvano, it wouldn't have been a huge travesty of justice.

There was a crowd violence at that fight and Benn lost his concentration and showed some inexperience.

I watched a replay of the Logan KD the morning after the fight and also have a download of it. Benn was so close to being stopped it wasn't funny. If ever there was a Hail Mary punch the one that flattened Logan was it. Good ol Nigel, great competitor and possibly the most exciting British fighter of all time

Having said that, I liked Michael Watson's general demeanor and the way he carried himself. Hence I enjoyed his demolition of Nigel .I figured if Benn was made of stern stuff he'd rebound from that little learning experience and he did

the weight draining to do 160 certainly made him mre vunerable, like Pac Man and Oscar De La Hoya... all got dropped more at lower weights

I have a vid of pacman being KO'd in one round at flyweight. Like.......ouch

I can't remember either Livingstone, i'm sure Benn had Gent down and nearly stopped and then suddenly didn't Gent have Benn down? Need to dig that fight out again.

As I remember it, Gent didn't floor Benn, but did sting him a couple of times.

Both Danny Perez and Iran Barkley shook Benn up badly, but never dropped him.
