Well in the past you may remember the WBO having done stupid things with their rankings , like putting Michael Jennings as their #1 contender at Welterweight or Maccarenelli as mandatory to Nelson(before Enzo beat Hobson) . Samuel Kedebe being sactioned to fight Scott Harrison . I could go on for a while .

Well guess who's the #1 contender to Fernando Montiel's WBO title ?..............no it's not Damaen Kelly , not some Puerto Rican favourtism(where the WBO is based) by putting an untested Puerto Rican fighter there......................It's Martin 'Too Much'(well not really) Power .

That's right the man who won close decisions against Dale Robinson and Ian Napa for the British Bantamweight title .

I doubt his matchmakers will take up the chance unless Montiel moves up and the other man given the chance to fight for the title isn't up to much .

Young Muttley is at #9 in the Welterweight rankings btw and Jennings has gone missing completely(and that's after one close fight which could have gone either way).

WBO is a complete crock of shit. Give me the WBU's unbiased computerised rankings anyday.

On the plus side, a loss to Guinn and 12 months of innactivity should get the title shot he craves

I believe it's the IBO who have the computerized rankings , the WBU don't have any(or mandatories) .

Yeah I know. But last time I went to the WBU's website they claimed to use computerized rankings. I'd love to see the formula for that
