Worth a nifty maybe, but I don't think Magee is going to win. Think Carl will take a few but bash him up over the stretch and win a decision.

Ali: Iknow you have posted before that MAgee is going to win, but I would risk any cash if I were you. 7/4 are terrible odds: I am surprised he is not out as far as 3/1

Froch will stop Magee, in my opinion. Carl sucked last time out but he'll be up for this one. Magee's lost when he's stepped up in class and he's only an ex-IBO champ because he was well-matched against lesser opposition from 154lbs and 160lbs. Froch might not go all the way but he's going to beat Magee :TU:

Froch will catch up with Magee eventually and put him on his back. Brian is a nice boxer but he has no whiskers, and if nothing else we know that Froch can walk through some punishment to land his own bombs, crude as he can be. Doubt it'll be an enjoyable spectacle at all though.

em Magee would the the European champion if he wasn't robbed against Tyspko , and his only other loss was to Robin Reid .

I think that is worth a flutter, Magee recovers well from knock downs and is a much better boxer than Froch has faced, when considering how poor froch can look it I can see Magee winning this one.

Recovering well from a knockdown is a healthy attribute but it's not as useful as not being knocked down in the first place.

He did well against Reid by out-working the old man but every time Reid caught him he had him on his arse.

Froch has to be favourite here.

Froch looks to hit too hard for Magee, he'll be all over him like a cheap suite.

I didn't think he was robbed against Tyspko, although it appeared that he was capable of winning that fight, but I thought he didn't do enough, on foreign soil, to make sure. Anyway, the records show he lost the decision, and Tyspko then went and got beat by unknown Frenchman Jackson Chanet. If Tyspko had gone on to win a decent version of the world title then fair enough, but he didn't.

Best of luck to Magee, I'm sure he's a lovely bloke but words cannot express how much I detest the proliferation of meaningless titles in boxing. Magee's run as IBO champ was, ultimately, a bit pointless. It is an irrelevant title and he faced no-hopers, then went and got repeatedly decked by Robin Reid who'd lost his WBC title seven years previously.

Despite what I've just put, I'm no big Froch fan - he looked awful last time out, perhaps the worst outing of his career. I just think he'll step it up against Magee. Time will tell :D

Not so sure Magee can't pull it off. Maybe, unlikely but maybe.

Froch's faults are there for all to see, and Magee is a cute enough boxer to exploit them. My big worries though, are Brians chin, and his mindset. I've never really been impressed with him since he pulled out of facing Barbosa a few years back, just because he didn't fancy the job.

One thing you can't say about Froch is that he lacks confidence. I think that on the night, Magee might be a bit tentative, I just don't think, despite his talk this week, that he really believes in himself when he steps between the ropes. And whilst Froch may not be as big a puncher as he likes to think, I'd say he cracks hard enough to put Magee down. Maybe not out, but certainly down.

I wouldn't be suprised to see another night like Magee-Reid: Ugly for a lot of it, but Froch scoring a few 10-8 rounds to win it on the cards, despite being outboxed for periods of the fight.
