Alex Arthur - World title fight soon?

Just been having a look at the world rankings to see if there where the Brits lie and Alex Arthur is ranked very high in the IBF.
He is currently #3, but suspect he will move up as #1 Medina has just beaten #2 Alvarez.
With Barrera surely going to move up after he fights Juarez (who I think COULD upset Marco) - I imagine Chavez will be fit by then and if not, Barrera might be involved in a vacant title fight.... Then surely this will mean Arthur vs Medina for the IBF title.
That would be a good fight for Arthur, who will be much stronger than Manuel - but could the Mexican warrior be too slick for Arthur still.

If Medina is still about the same form as when he beat Harrison, I'd favour Arthur to win that one but I'd favour Harrison to beat Arthur if that makes sense. Styles making fights and all.

Arthur wont get that far.
If he fights his EBU madatory, Gulyacevitch, he will get Knocked out.
Gulyacevith reminds me of CBE

Bloody hell fire i thought Medina would have packed in after the Harrison loss, the guy just keeps coming back & back. You've got to appreciate someone like Medina he's always been in the mix.
As for Alex Arthur if the opportunity came up for the vacant title with Medina then just go for it lad, i'd predict that Arthur would win, then i suppose the harder issue would to defend it succesfully cos the super feather division has some big players in it, probably the 2nd best divison in boxing at the mo maybe even the best .

KO...two questions
1) Is Gulyakevich a southpaw?
2) And why do you rate him so highly (I know he crushed Tontchev)?

I think Arthur will beat Medina, but not yet, another 3 fights, he needs to have a spot on defence to beat Medina, and he needs to be on top form, late 2007 I think he'll do a number on Medina, Medina wasn't that impressive against Harrison IMO, Harrison was just really, really poor.
I'd also fancy Arthur to beat Harrison, Harrison is poor IMO and just relies on throwing loads of shots, Arthur is a far better boxer and would out box Harrison, aslong as he held his defence together because Harrison hits pretty hard.

You got it backwards there, Arthur wouldn't need a great defense so much against Medina cause Medina throws pitter patter shots but against Harrison he'd definitely need it as Harrison tries to hit you anywhere he can, sometimes illegally.
