Who do you think is the Best British Prospect?

Of those I've actually seen I'm always impressed with Gary Young. Tough fight coming up against Colin McNeil but if he gets through that then a title shot shouldn't be too far away.

Lets' see if this is the old Spud.

Defintely not Froch 8)

Nicky Cook proabably..

I like the look of this lad but effing forotten his name.

Turn this into a quiz now, Starts with H, had about 3 fights.
A right handful, wasn't suited to amateurs due to the style he has.
I think he may have lost his 2nd fight.

Weight? pass, maybe middle :TU:

Garath Crouch is looking good, not the biggest puncher out there but has some very good moves, he's been matched well hasn't had to many soft touches. he's a lightweight.

Couple of Irish lads I have yet to see but have heard very good things about:

- Martin Lindsay

- Andrew Murray

Surely he's moved beyond the "prospect" tag now.
Given I'm a West Country lad I'll be interested to see how Dan Guthrie from Yeovil gets on. He had a shaky start to his pro career, but seems to be settling down now. I know Tom Podmore rates him.

He had a very good result against Jamali last week - I would like to know more about that fight. Jamali has decent skills and size; Was it a KO, ref stoppage or a cut?

Just looked on BBN and it was J who covered the show - you got any further details on Guthrie - Jamali mate?

Good call, but he's a more contender level that prospect now. Interesting to see what happens if he gets that title shot. Will he take it?

I thought Cook was very disappointing in his last fight. Khan is the best prospect IMO. Would like to see Cook and Dunne go at it.

So what is the limit for a prospect, 10 fights? or when you start getting championship fights, e.g. English or British titles.

Does anyone here rate Gary Buckland?

I saw his fight against Anthony Christopher, he seemed to be loading up a bit to much, but got the job done, but of course it is the start of his career and i think he was a bit over enthusiastic to impress his fans.
So i'm sure he will improve over the next year, I'm not sure that he's a Light Welter though, i'd like to see if he could get down to Lightweight.

One to watch though.

shame his promoter can't even pronounce the WBC champ's name. bit embarrassing that he calls the guy "Takimoto"

Amir Khan
Anthony Small
Andy Morris

And that one man lightweight lad... for some reason my brain has gone completely dead on his name.

Anyway, I reckon they all have the potential to be world class.
