Audley Harrison had the talent, but has NO BALLS!

He speaks in the third person.
Lennox used to do that but at least he could back it up.

Can't be arsed with name and age thing

Terence wrote:C'mon, how many dislike him because he's a top athlete, bags of skill, good looking and articulate plus loaded? Lets be honest here, respect to the people who felt short-changed when he fought Williams but how many just hate him because from the start he had everything.

I think he is The Man. :box:
Nope I'm glad he has all the cash and skills.
That's the point he doesn't use his skills, that is truly frustrating.

Hate him no, frustrated, yes.

I liked him at the Olympics.
He's riding from that and thinks he's is the Man and he isn't, which make him a bit of a knob.. :TU:

Imagine stating that you are ready to take over the divsion now etc.
Then throw handbags at a fat, undermotivated, twised ankled sleepy Williams.

When you are ready Audley, just do it instead of showing how 'articulate' you are and how good you are about talking and not doing.

If you just got on and did it, you can't spout all the usual shite afterwards we don't care then.

Lennox made a living out of that but he would win first. :TU:

I wouldn't go as far as to call him the man, but do feel he has been given a rough ride.

On saying that I don't think anyone can defend against the negativity he received from the Williams fight, although I do think Williams should have been castigated just as much - His performance was very poor also.

I hope he wins this weekend.

He has all the skill anyone could want - just no balls at all. That's why I don't like him. Boxing Williams he just ran and ran, he didn't want to fight, he has absolutely NO BACK-BONE!

Gavin, 20

I've hated him from the moment that he came out of the ring praising himself after the Derek McCafferty fight. And for making me watch him go 12 rounds against Julius Francis. And for being an arrogant obnoxious prick ever since he turned pro. And for runnig over my dog

Tonyevs age 34 and 3/4..

Because from the day he turned proffesional he spoke and acted as if he already was a worlds champion.

After every flawed performance he would still tell us we were wrong and our eyes lied.

He turned people off boxing, and damaged the sports back bone of man against man on equal grounds...his BBC fights were an exercise in bullying.

There is no denying that his performance against Williams was poor, but whats all this no back bone and no balls shit, its out of order IMO. For the exact reasons as Terrence has give. I think some people are misinterpreting Audleys backfoot/counter-punching style.

Tonyevs
You say Audleys early fights were an exercise in bullying - drivel. Do you think Danny Williams, Lennox Lewis's Muhammad Ali's, Scott Gammers....... early fights were competitive affairs or do you think they were eased into the pro ranks?

Gavin
Did you see Julius Francis Vs Skelton/Dimitrenko/Greenburg/Gammer etc. if so you would have seen that Julius Francis was was impossible to look good against. I hope your dogs OK.

Audley is confident in his own ability as boxers have to be and I think this is misinterpreted as arrogance, personally I find him to be one of the less arrogant boxers around.

I saw the Skelton and Dimitrenko fights, plus a couple of other Francis affairs. My problem is not that Audley didn't look good against the man, more that he dominated him and did so little. He owed the public a showing in what was a decently sized British fight, certainly for terrestrial tv but instead of showing off his flashy skills and power and all those other things he obviously never had, he just lay back and only went for it in the 12th.

Do you not agree with these comments that I directed at you? or do you still maintain that Audley should have been in competitive fights from the off

There is a narrow line between confidence and arrogance, I suppose it depends on how it is interpreted.

Do you think that Danny Williams was arrogant for saying that he will KO Skelton in 4 rounds?

Gavin
Audley-Francis was the first time that Audley went the 12 round distance and as you say he dominated the fight and came out with a W. The fight was destined to go the distance as virtually all Julius's late fights did, JF has a good defencee, a very good chin and a 19-20 stone Julius Francis can still bang if he's given the chance, so why would Audley give him an unnecessary chance in the fight.

AUDLEY HARRISON IS fornicating GREAT!!!!!!

I'm off to the pub anyway, have a good easter all :TU:

John, 21. Likes water-skiing and quiet nights in. WLTM Audley Harrison's motivational coach to point and laugh at him.

We all saw the trashy train crash/beached whales romcom that replaced the heavyweight clash on ITV coming up to last christmas. In Audrey's defence - I havn't seen it in full, but apparently his fight was Wiggins was one of, if not the best, performance of Oxter's career up 'till then. Therefore - why the totally fuckachoochoo performance v the incredible growing man? Well there's the injured hand story, which is about as original as a ready salted crisp; there's also all the personal stuff which he went through whilst back in London with his family. Now, it's all very well saying "oh, that means fornicate-all" or "he shouldn't take it into the ring" but for a lot of people the personal problems Audrey had and was resolving at xmas is a hell of a lot to do.

In short, that's my plausible excuses for Audrey versus Jonah. Yes it was dire, but everyone has bad days nights. The Guinn fight will obviously settle the argument whether Audrey is Punch-scared and will crumble, or whether the Williams fight, perhaps a result in part of the above suggestions, was a one-off, and he'll be mighty better this weekend. (Well it would be hard to get any worse.)

And if Audley wins, he's actually going to be in a very good position in terms of world fights. And if he loses, that's 0-2 for his last two fights, so he should get a crack at Valuev. It's a win-win situation :TU:

i dont mind the guy.think he has all the tools necessary to be champ.i also think that danny williams and the occasion got to him.14,000 people booing him more or less as he walked to the ring!!!this guy won an olympic medal for christ sake!

everyone deserves a second chance.lets wait and see how he approaches guinn.

if he does turn in another performance like the williams one then he might as well retire and become a recluse, because the guy will be a complete laughing stock.

To answer the question you directed at me, Yes I think Audley should have been in more competitive fights from much earlier on.

He was an Olympic gold winner, this means he was far from a novice in boxing terms.
There would have been better matches to make, guys with good amateur grounding themselves.
Over 6rnds he should have easily been able to win on points at least...but as is the norm its about padding the record with KO`s and TKO`s...
and Audley ain`t no power puncher so they have to pick smaller guys in the hope Audleys impressive size is enough to over power the guy out of there....and how does that look to the public....a bully beating up on a smaller guy :-?

Once again towards the end you add the humour though :D :D

But happy easter to you and all here anyway :TU:

Dave, age 20, I dislike Harrison for many reasons:

- He talks a good fight, but has no bottle.
- He has wasted his potential after doing so well in the Olympics.
- He is impossible to negotiate with and thinks he is worth more than he is.

Any fighter who gets in a ring has balls. But to get in there and then show no heart, well that's unforgiveable.

I don't dislike the man personally, I just resent the fact that such a poor fighter with zero stamina, even less balls & even less power than that has managed to make £4million out of boxing! :o

I love fighters with heart & courage; Matthew Saad Muhammad is my favourite fighter of all time, but when I see the likes of Harrison conning the boxing fan & making a fortune, it sickens me.

I hope he stays in the USA, as I don't want to see him in a British ring (or any other for that matter) again. :box:

he is the most punch shy heavy i have ever seen - if A FRAUD and henry akinwande were battling it out in my back garden i would let my dog out to piss on them
