Are SKY showing De La Hoya Vs Mayorga / HATTON PPV

Does anyone know if SKY are showing this fight?

SKY's coverage has been shit this year, we all thought getting rid of Warren meant at last we get the real stuff, the big fights, the cream of the crop, pound for pound the best fighters in the world. Theres nothing like staying up till late on a saturday and watching a superfight live. But instead we get 1 week delayed stuff from Japan and Lee Haskins making a right arse of himself. The only big names with had this year is Manny-Morales (delayed) and Mosley-Vargas (3 week delay!!!) I am cancelling my subscription if SKY don’t show it.

They make me sick, has anyone checked out the Hatton PPV presser yet!!!

Man what a JOKE!!!!

We get nothing all year then they expect us to buy the thing for £14:95, all the fights are handpicked anyway.

Hatton - Collazo, Hatton should beat him up over 12 rounds / late TKO, Collazo is handpicked and can't punch. I appreciate Hamed made a lot of money fighting average / good fighters in the states, but he was always open and in exciting fights - against decent punchers, but Hatton's fighting a bum thats going to get stopped in a couple of rounds.

Perriera - Pickering, this is the only interesting fight on the card as I like Pickering and think he has a genuine chance against Perriera, who isn't anything special just does everything well - good fight if Pickering comes in confident.

Woods Vs Delisle, this delisle is awful!! cannot box or punch, easy points or late TKO for woods - handpicked.

Its not worth a PPV for one fight. The truth is we should get this free after such a barron year for boxing fans in the UK. I'd rather pay for De La Hoya Vs Mayorga - much better fight or the undercard fight - Ouma Vs Rubio.

Terrible offering Sky's boxing is appauling at the moment.

Sky's boxing coverage is absolutely pathetic, they don't seem to care about the sport any more. The amount of huge fights we've had no coverage of at all is frightening. The main one this year being Floyd/Zab and the Rahman/Toney fight. Sort it out!! Channel 5 offer better international boxing than Sky!

it is odd, as sky did some very good coverge last year. i was pissed that they didn't show any cruiserweight or heavyweight stuff, but it was a busy year for top american boxing and they did pretty well. this year hasn't been as good, so far, and they just haven't been bothered. maybe they're folding due to the arrival of Fight +

i'm glad they showed sahaprom-hasegawa 2, but did they ever show their first fight when it happened? if we're getting lighter weight international stuff then why not that Monshipoor fight that was around the same time? everything seems to random and half arsed

I agree, but I really don't understand how you could want to cancel your subscription just because of the boxing. I couldn't bear to watch only the normal five channels.

Well maybe some people have better things to do than watch TV period.

Reply's from their viewer relations department are getting a bit more positive, hopefully they will come to an agreement with HBO.

Dear Lenny

Thanks for your e-mail about Boxing and please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.

I was sorry to read of your disappointment with the coverage shown on Sky.

Sky Sports want to achieve a balance of good British/ Commonwealth and European title matches with some overseas fights where we have been successful with various bids. On a domestic level we have been unlucky wit some shows being disturbed by injury to top of the bill fighters, but we think we have maintained a regular output in the Friday Night slot with a reasonable selection of overseas fights.

Rest assured your comments and all the points raised in your e-mail have been noted and passed to Sky Sports for their information.

Thanks, once again, for contacting us. We always welcome customers' comments and actively encourage viewers' feedback.

Kind regards

Morag Carson

Are you implying that I don't have better things to do? All I'm saying is that it is daft to cancel your subscription on the basis that SKY aren't showing enough fights. When did I say that they should sit in front of the TV all day?
