Who is watching the snooker? My tip to win was John Higgins, but he got knocked out in the first round.

Doherty's got a great draw to get to the final and is in good form this year , so I will have to go for my fellow countryman .

You'd think Ronnie by a country mile, but I can't help but feel he may implode at some point.

Williams and Doherty are calls, and Stevens may have a chance, depends what the draw's like, I havn't seen it.

Sadly, I don't think Jimmy W will be going far. As much as it pains me, I'm going to back Gray tomorrow if he gets near evens.

Grays form is as bad as Whites. They do practice together in Brixton snooker hall.

I think White fancies his chances against Gray

I fancy a Doherty-O'Sullivan final. I think Ronnie has his head screwed-on this year, after a disappointing season. He'll probably have a breakdown in the morning now.

The draw is a bit lopsided this year, I must say. Top half is definitely easier on paper.

O'sulliven looked good today. Not much of a snooker fan but tend to watch him.

Hasn't got the consistency any more, he can't string the big breaks together. He'll probably get to the quarters but no further any of the big boys in form will take him apart.

So much for me saying the bottom half of the draw was the one packed with the big names. First Higgins goes out, now Hendry. 10-9 on a respotted black!

Well, I didn't get my hope of who I wanted to win this year right, I hope to be rooting for him next year.

There is a piece on the BBC website on him aftet the defeat, discussing the battle.... My family has been effected by cancer and I have done loads of research... He is putting such a brave face on it, cause if I am being brutally honest it doesn't sound very good for him.

last night was so boring wasn't it.

i don't mind a bit of tactical snooker, but last night was too much for me. i watched 45 minutes then decided to watch something else as i was so bored with it all.

Really sorry to hear that about Paul , he seems like a great guy .
I think after his game with Robinson was the palest ive seen him since he became ill :( .

Yes, it does hit home that this illness can hit anybody when the "sex symbol" of the game possibly on the verge of greatness, who looked so healthy when competing on Superstars... can get effected. Really makes you count your blessings.

So is he basically fucked then? He did look absolutely terrible.

I must admit to not having liked the guy much in all honesty, seemed like a really vain wanker, who believed the 'david beckham of snooker' tag too much for his own good.

Having said, that hope he recovers.

Well, two 16 weeks sessions of chemo and the doctors cannot reduce the size of it.

I thought Dott the whole time.
