Any thoughts on Fridays EBU Bantamweight fight?
I've always been a big fan of Kellys but how far can he go at the higher weight?
Anyone here seen Simone Maludrottu fight before?

Just looking at the odds on BBN via William Hill and Maludrotti is 13/8 surely a good bet?

I wouldn't think so , Kelly is very allusive for a Flyweight and is extremely quick(at getting his punches off and moving) . Ian Napa(who is very accurate and quick) although only a domestic fighter couldn't hit Kelly and Kelly was able to score all day long on him . The referee's score was very flattering to Napa as the bout could have been scored a shutout for Kelly .
Now Maldrottu(who I admitadly don't know much about) seems to be a boxer type himself and I feel this is good for Kelly . As a fully fledged Bantamweight brawler might be able to walk right through him and blow him away but Maldrottu would have to be something special to outbox Kelly . He'll need a very good jab and to be extremely quick for a Bantamweight .
Something interesting is that they both are 5'5 , and Maldrottu seems to have about 6lbs of natural weight on him . I think with a bout like this it's best to keep your money in your pocket unless you've seen a lot of both boxers .

Will be interesting to see how solid Kelly looks at Bantamweight, but I pick Kelly to pick up his second EBU title, probably points.

I saw Maludrottu fight Karim Quibir Lopez on Eurosport about a year ago. I swear, it was probably the best fight ive ever seen on Eurosport. It was a total back and forth war with both guys hurting each other many times. Lopez looked exceptional but Maludrottu pulled it out and got the win. Maludrottu, if he's in the shape he was in for the Lopez fight should win this. Lopez threw exceptional combinations and was a puncher, but Maludrottu took them. Kelly will have to go all out. The Italian fights to the end.

Yeah. I forsee Kelly outboxing the Italian throughout but then being victim of an horrendous decision which disgusts everyone except for a chairman of a British Boxing Board who must defend his salary by talking shit about the contest afterwards and making out it was a close fight of the year candidate whilst the Italian and his manager slip out of the back door under cover of darkness with a bag containing a blue belt with the word SWAG written on the side. Their car pulls away swiftly before stopping to pick up a 'Swiss' referee caled Luca Gambino who is standing on the side of the road with a sign saying 'Naples' in his hands. Then the terrible decision is swept under the carpet and the Mafia buys everyone dinner to celebrate.
Wait a minute that wasn't a vision. IT actually happened.WEIRD!
