W. Klitschko v Greenberg later this year.

Apparently in the autumn.

I see Greenberg having slightly more success than Byrd, but ultimateley being KO'd.

This win win will be a huge confidence booster for Wlad

i would be surprised if the fight lasted a round. greenberg would have trouble with friday ahunayunya (sp?) so he should leave the real big boys well alone...

It would be a massacre. Greenberg's done nothing to deserve a shot and I sincerely hope it doesn't take place. If it did, Vlad KO's him in two rounds max.

samuel peter was hardly a 'little un'

and brewster is out of the picture for a long time with his detatched retina.

wlad will take on valuev i feel, its a match made in heaven to sell well to the eastern european public.

Just seen the fight, and changed my view slightly.

Wlad would slaughter Greenberg who, whilst skilful, is massively overhyped by SecondsOut who annoyingly over use the word "quicksilver" when describing a boxer with fast hands.

Arent boxers supposed to be fast?

Greenberg doesnt hit hard enough and just isnt as good as Wlad

Wlad in 3, in a slaughter.

I think it will be a carbon copy of last nights fight.

Small heavyweight, with overated Skills and a lack of experience in fighting the big men, okay Byrd did have experience, but didn't fight like he did. Plus no dig.

When the fight will be stopped will depend on Greenberg's chin. He could go the distance, and he could get stopped early. Either way, he's not winning a round.

I wonder if Shelley Finkel will phone up a recently retired fighter he once managed to see if he wants to earn a fast buck.

Wlad by manslaughter in 1 round

Don't forget that Wlad still has to prove that his chin is world class, I would say he'd be a huge favourite over Greenburg, but an upset by KO isn't out of the question

It is when Greenberg is arguably as light a puncher as Byrd.

Wlad has far from proven his chin, infact I think three stoppage defeats and on the deck vs Williamson and twice vs Peter indicate his chin is far from world class.

But, Greenberg cannot punch for toffee.

If this was Danny Williams we were talking about (or even Matt Skelton)... now thats a different story.

I would have thought so, but Steward seemed to think it would be next.

Crazy match - I know they're looking to protect Wlad and keep him away from anyone who can punch it at all possible, but Greenberg has beaten NO ONE and no way deserves a shot.

They'll be laughed out of town if they try to sell this one.

I like Greenberg more than most on here, but no way is he ready for a fight like this. He'd take a beating and would probably never recover from it. He should go looking for a British, Commonwealth or European fight first; that way we'll have a better idea of what level he's capable of competing at in the long-term. I mean, he's a tough kid with some nice skills, but he has too many flaws to be ironed out of his style in too short a time for this fight to be anything other than a lop-sided drubbing.

I didn't rate Greenberg at all but saw some of his qualities in his last fight. But hes far too open for Wlad and would get ko'd fast imo, but who knows maybe he can rise to the occasion, put Wlad on the back foot or just land something big. This would be a huge cash in fast, you'd think they'd throw him in with a few hasbeens he can make a name off in the Jewish communities like a MErcer type.

Samuel Peter was a fight he HAD to take imo.

Now he has the title - he will stay away from any power punching Heavyweights.

After Greenburg - look for James Toney!..

Look out for the Sven Ottke suyndrome to kick in!

Wlad is not an HBO fighter - he will only fight in Europe imo.

Good god I hope this fight doesn't happen, what has Greenburg done appart from beat most of Nobby Nob's stable I don't like greenburg he fights like an automiton. Klitschko would murder him, I am fast stoping cairing about the HW devision.

Would like to see Haye Greenburg though :)

I would seriously be worried that Greenberg would suffer some bad damage in this fight. Surely this fight wouldn't get the go ahead from the boxing authorites? If it does they should be ashamed of themselves because aren't they meant to protect boxers?

However washed up Tyson is, with Klitschkos hin maybe Tyson stands a chance?

Or if Haye fancies moving up to HW he could go all out for 3 rds and try and KO Klitshko because if he doesn't do it inside 3 he'll get KOed himself.

Klitschkos management and his co-promoter are german. The moneyplaying music is also in Germany, especially in Heavy. I see fights coming that make the most money over here. Nobody gives a cent for a Toney or a Rahman. Two names would make the most money and the highest attendance over here: Axel Schulz and Luan Krasniqi. Axel would be an easy defense for Wladi and the money would be immens. I would predict 15-20 million viewers, also for a fight vs Luan.

The possibility of a fight vs Luan is not that high because the Klitschkos had trouble with Mr.Kohl, Luans promoter. On the other hand would this one be a fight the mass would like to see. If Luan could grab the WBO title from Lyakhovich it would be a unification fight next year.....

One fight is pretty sure: Nico Valuev vs Wladi. I know from the Sauerland team that they want to make a big fight card in Russia. This fight would sell out a 100,000 spectator crowd in St.Petersburg or elsewhere in Russia or Ukraine. I don´t know how popular hte Lyakhovich guy is but boxing is in all former eastern block countries extremely popular. so this could be an alternative and would Lyakhovich give his biggest payday.

I don´t see any american boxer except Brewster who could be a megaseller over here. Maybe a toney or a Rahman because of the WBC title. but on the other hand I think that in the nearest future all 4 title will be held by german based boxers. Give eg. Povetkin a year or two and he will easily beat one of the american WBC champs. I see Maskaev beating both of them in the first defense anyway......Wladi has beaten the best of the american Heavyweights and a new era will now begin.

Klitchko-Haye would just like Balboa-Creed with them both collapsing from throwing 100punches per round, it would be a double KO in round 5

Haye would be annihilated, the first meaningful shot Wlad landed would send him to la-la land. Wlad might have a shaky chin, but he's been found out by genuine heavyweights with heavyweight power, not blown up super middlweights or ancient cruiserweights. Thompson has impressive power for a cruiserweight, but wouldn't put a dent in the likes of say Rahman.

I still think Wlad comes undone against another big punching heavyweight though. Not that there's many competent big heavies right now. Like to see him in with Lyakovich or Sultan Imbragimov.

At least with 3 holders of the Heavyweight titles coming from Europe we could see more oppotunities for the likes of Williams or Skelton getting a shot at the title, they are known in Europe unlike in America

I really don't want to see Williams or Skelton in with Wladimir. Despite his obvious flaws, either man would get a pretty fearful tonking from the big man.
