I must have missed something cos i thought Witter was fighting this weekend but i can see nothing on the schedules

when witter went to the offical number 1 spot for the wbc. now hes fighitng corley. anyone know about purse bids?

The reason is nothing to do with the WBC purse offer. BOTH purse offers are due. As per usual the most unreliable Promoter in the World Salvatore Cherchi won the purse offer adn, as usual failed to put it on. Cherchi cancels more shows than he promotes.

Is that from the OPI3000 or whatever they are called? Spanish and Italian promoters seem to be absolutely ridiculous for this. Why don't the EBU bring some sort of sanction against promoters who make bids and then cannot deliver?

Would have been a nice warm up fight for Witter before Corley, this now means that if Witter aint fighting till June or July then he'll have been out of the ring for bout 7 months, would have been nice to have kept abit more active, mind you on the flip side maybe the rest will do him some good.

He has enough rest during rounds 6-12 of his fights :P

Never watched Chop Chop.

It's a 50/50 job IMO maybe slightly favouring Corley because of Witter's suspect nature in the second half of fights. Witter's best chance is probably early but i doubt he has enough to keep Corley at bay for 12 rounds, good fight all the same.

Witter only has gassed a bit in two fights though.

I don't blame the Kotelnik one because Kotelnik did fornicate all till the about the 8th.

he's a typical american southpaw boxer i suppose is the best way to describe him.

doesn't have much of a punch, but can shake u up with that left hand if he lands it right. he buzzed mayweather and shook up cotto with it.

took zab judah to a split decision in defence of his wbo light welterweight title. he lost by 4 pts on 2 of the cards.

he is a definite threat to witter i reckon. however i think it has 12 rd close fight written all over it and could go either way.

Thought his right hook was the shot that shook up PBF and Cotto Hitman. Think Witter can pull this one out, just a gut feeling

Nothing tells me Witter should win this, his stamina and workrate has been poor recently. I think Corley will outpoint him.

3 fights - looked pretty tired vs Lynes.

Lets not forget the last time he heard the ring announcer say "seconds out round six" before his last 3 fights was in 2000 vs Judah. He was a completely different fighter back then, he didn't plant his feet - he didn't throw his punches with the energy he does now. His KO percentage prior to Judah was piss poor.

Junior could quite easily fight as he used to do (when commentators used to say his nickname was rediculous) and maintain a workrate for 12 rounds - but does he still have the bounce in his step to do that at 32 and does he want to go back to that dull style.

I don't think he was thatbad against N'dou Stu.

Really looking forward to Witter - Corley,i have a gut feeling that maybe this one is going to be fought over in the USA maybe on the undecartd of another big fight.

Who is promoting this one?

Don't know what corly is like but am always interested to see americans facing switch hitters, particularly one as tricky as Witter.
