Odin. Sounds Like encouraging news!...

By Clive Bernath: Cruiserweight Valery Odin, who collapsed and suffered a small blood clot on the brain after a bout with Glasgow boxer Steven McGuire in Hartlepool on Friday night is now off a ventilator and making good progress.
Odin was floored in the sixth and final round on his way to a 60-55 points defeat against the Scottish fighter on the undercard of the Michael Hunter vs German Guartos at the Borough Hall and collapsed soon after.
Odin was then immediately given oxygen before being rushed to hospital. As of early evening on Saturday the 31 year-old was critical but stable but around 9.30pm tonight Odin's manager George Carman called SecondsOut with the good news that Odin was taken off a ventilator and making very good progress.
" I'm pleased to say that Valery is now off the ventilator and sitting up talking," said Carmen. " I'm told he will make a full recovery which of course is fantastic news."
