WHY CAN U CONVERT NTSC VHS TO PAL BUT NOT NTSC DVD TO PAL?

Come on all you technology experts fill me in.
I do that aswell, there is little point converting as most DVD players (and tele's) in the UK play NTSC Disc's fine.... But it is possible if you want to do it.REAL_DEAL wrote:i have about 500 ntsc dvd disk i keep all of them dont bother converting them. would rather keep the quality.

Have the NTSC disc in the DVD player, set the DVD to PAL mode.
Have the DVD recorder in PAL mode - put in a blank DISC.
Play on the player, record on the recorder.
What you have recorded is a PAL version of the NTSC disc.

Just saying my experiences.
Na it doesnt work like that it wont be a PAL copy...
