I had money on Alex Arthur to win on points on Saturday, went to collect from Ladbrokes, wifie scanned my slip and said I'd get my stake refunded. I asked why and she said cos that's what it said on the screen!

Since it went to the scorecards and he did win on points I was pretty pissed off at this.

Does this mean they've just declared the fight void?

maybes they only pay oot if the fight goes the distance??????? wee tam

I'd get back in there pal. Technical decision is still a points win. That fight was settled on the judges scorecards and the record books will remember it as Arthur W PTS. I f*cking hate bookies.

write to them and send a photocopy of your betslip along with the online form (completed) available from their web site. they'll look into it and sort it for you if its legit. Really are spot on and sorted me back not so long ago (wlad v peter).

I confirm to win on points, we will only consider bets which nominate

Going by this email alone they make no provision for TD's; under the rules of the match (EBU jurisdiction) the full number of rounds had been completed for a winner to be deemed by points. I'd take it up with Wales' link.

In past experiance when the Bookies have tried it on with me. I once bet on Pernel Whittaker to retain his title agsint Chavez and becuase it was a draw they refused to pay out. I said retain, not win so a swift letter got my dosh.

As with all sports they go by the decision of the governing body. e-mail tye BBBofC and ask for confirmation that AA won on points and you will be home and dry.

Tne result was W TD 7 - The EBU rules are clear and this mean that it was a win by points.

Pay up Ladbrokes and all you others!

I suppose if thats their official rule then they won't be paying out on Chelsea, Celtic or Reading for winning the league as

"we will only consider bets which nominate 'to win the league' as winners if the full number of games has been completed."

Yeah right.

I replied to their initial email and they're like a bloody broken record.
