colin mcneil answered the people who said he could not punch.big time with a tremendous ko of gary young, young was out for a long time and had to be administed oxgyen, every one in scottish boxing felt that this was a massive step up in class for gary, and this proved to be the case mcneils coach Pat Toner, was telling everyone before the fight, that he considered this mcneils first real professional fight,he stated that he had been working on mcneils punching power,in the transition from pro to amateur and it had taken untill now to finaly produce the punching power mcneil was displaying in the gym, to bear fruit in the ring ,and suggests that mcneils punching power be judged from here on in ,mcneil and anderson have sparred together for years, and are the best of friends,so there will be no grudge match there, however they are top class pros, and if they fight, i think they would look for a really big payday, but it would be the best fight seen in britain for years, on par with benn eubank, watt ,buchanan, etc i think the fight would go one of three ways, either a stoppage on cuts in favour of anderson,or a points win for mcneil, or a tko in favour of mcneil, as kevin attacks with very fast combination punches, but leaves his chin very vulnerable and if mcneil mantains his new punch power this could prove costly, however win lose or draw they will continue their frendship im sure, but it certainly is a mouth watering prospect

Anderson has to get past Muttley first :TU:

Good on McNeil - he is a bit long in the tooth so he could do with making a move soon. Great result for him against Young, look forward to seeing him in action again soon.

I fancy Anderson to take care of Muttley and likewise with McNeil. For some reason, I still fancy Young would have presented more problems fro Anderson. Great result for Neily though.
