The fight is later this month and the more I think about it the more I look forward to it. Two very good fighters who both have a shot at winning with a win leaving them with a lot of options.

Whats everyone think will happen??

I tend to lean toward froch but the more I think about it the more I wonder why. I think the reason for me is froch's performance against Barny who but for a dodgey decision would have been the European champion of a weight devision above. All that with a bad hand apparently. But I recon I could be wrong.

Froch's performance against Westerman opened question marks, i think if Froch comes in and boxes behind a jab rather than trying to blast Magee away and look stylish he will win mid rounds stoppage. If Froch tries to unload and leaves himself open i can see Magee outboxing him for long periods.

Of course Magee's chin is a question mark and Froch does appear to be able to punch a bit so Magee could be dropped at any point.

I have a feeling that Magee Ko's Froch early, dont ask me why but i feel an upset , i really cant explain why i think this to, its just a feeling i have.

Understanding I suppose, the way Froch leaves his hands low, fights abit lazy if you ask me. He should bring A game for Magee though, tight def and use his great jab that we haven't seen for a while.

Froch on points I reckon.

Magee will beat Froch, mark my words.

Don't worry we will...i am gutted this fight was moved from the Kings Hall although the preview in Boxing Monthly explains why. Glad i didn't get a ticket now, still buzzing about this fight though :box:

I'd fancy the draw actually. Magee to get off the canvas a couple of times but do enough work in other rounds to get the draw. Same sort of scenario as the Reid fight, I thought that despite his visits to the canvas, any round that he wasn't knocked down, he won and thought he should of at least got a draw out of it.

Its the only one worth betting on but i don't think so myself. For me Magee's chin is sh't and froch can start slowly and through away early rounds so ether Magee goes down KO or someone takes it on points. We shall see.

Magee has still never been KOed though despite a few trips to the canvas. He may have a terrible chin but might have very good recovery. I reckon Froch will have trouble stopping him unless he catches him with an absolute peach of a shot. Don't forget that Magee is the master of the hit and grab tactic, so if he gets in danger he'll just hold on until his head has cleared so Froch will also find it very hard to force a stoppage while Magee is on his feet.

WHo hits harder Reid or Froch? Dmitry Adamovich is the only common opponent who comes to mind beaten by Froch in half the time Reid did but you can't tell much from a journyman.

Reid and Froch's power are different. Reid is exceptionally strong and quite correct technically, but with Froch not only is he fast with single shots, if they hurt you he can follow up quickly to have you reeling.

Froch by KO. As soon as the fight goes past 5 rounds, Magee is on borrowed time.

I think i will be the only person on the forum who is not shocked & surprised when Magee wins this won.

I'm still wondering why we haven't heard anything from Froch and/or Hennessey yet. It's not as if they're usually shy to proclaim how awesome they are.

Your not alone ALI i think magee beats froch handy and have had a nice wager on this already. How can you be confident in froch at this level when an aussie journey man gave him all sorts of bother before running out of steam?

Lets not forget that magee should by rights be euro champion after he beat (i know i still see it as a victory contrary to the official result) tyspko who is still very highly rated.

7/4 thanks very much i will have some of that.

I think this is a real 50/50 fight. Froch has style, but is not as tested as Magee. Also he has no defense and Magee can bang a bit. I am just leaning to Froch, but whoever wins will not suprise me.

Cos its being promoted by Malony and Mick doesn't want to do him any favores I would guess.

I wouldn't be supprsed if Maggee wins but I think froch is slightly the favorate thats why Im looking forward to the fight its a tough call. What telie is it on??

I want to see Magee teach Froch the first rules of boxing, keep your hands up and defend yourself at all times - My hope is he catches the undefended Froch and sparks him out, which he could well do - Failing that Magee on points I think is a possibility - Sorry I dont rate Froch and as he steps up in class I think he will be found wanting - Froch is a single shot head hunter with poor defense and I dont think he will survive against best - Maybe Magee isnt the best but he is very good and never gives up and my bet is he will pull off the win - We will see
