Judahs punishment

Zab is BANNED from fighting for ONE YEAR.
I think this is disgraceful. Arguably he should have won by DQ. If Floyd Sr. didn't get in the ring, this wouldn't have happened.
Too harsh.

The judge took into account that Zab had been in trouble before.
The guy is a moron wannabe thug, you reap what you sow.

i think he is a punk bitch but the punishment is way too much....
the post kosta incident was bang out of order and he deserved all he got but at the end of the day in the PBF fight the guy shouldnt have got in the ring... get in the ring trying to draw gloves with someone and then you deserve a slap
the fine should go to charity too

He' banned by the Nevada commission. He can box anywhere else.
Besides, the ref could also have DQed Judah for repeated and intentional low-blows

Yeah, but he didn't. Fact is it's a bit of a shambles that Zab gets punished for Floyd Sr entering the ring and choking him, and Floyd Jr gets off scott free.

Thats how i see it....
Floyd should have been fined 10% (or whatever the trainers cut is) of his purse....
Zab whilst a tosser has definately been harshly treated in all of this.

FLoyd Jr didn't do nothing though and just stood in his corner watching so he was riht not get DQ really.

He can come to Britain to give us the rematch we've all been waiting for

Not really, that's an irrelevence, he should have been DQ'd. I'm glad he didn't but let's be honest, he should have been instantly DQ'd the minute his dad entered the ring.

Technically though the bout was paused which means its not an automatic DQ

I dont know about technically but realistically, no big fight is automatically DQ'ed in Vegas. The NASC are well aware of the adverse financial consequences to hit them and the rest of the town if a fight is pulled 'prematurely'.

Marc Ratner has just left the Nevada State Commission. The new boy, whoever he is, wants to show he is boss.

i remember tysons fine was huge... was it $3m????
the ban isnt too bad for judah but i think the fine is tooooo much... at the end of the day its not like he will be earning big money for ever.... 5 years and he will have practically no income

Actually it was Floyd's uncle Roger.

I know it's in the rules but which makes it irrelevent but it shouldn't be as lLoyd did nothing, it was his uncle and Zab that caused the riot.

Richard Steele called a time out, during a time out should someone enter the ring it is up to the referee's discretion whether he should be DQ'd or not... Its no longer compulsary.
Had Richard Steele not called a time out and not DQ'd Mayweather, he would have been facing a disciplinary hearing himself, probably resulting in some fine/suspension.

I understand that the main reason he was dealt with so harshly was because he got stuck in and punched uncle Roger (i think it was him) in the back of the head. So they came with the 'previous history' of this sort of thing and threw the book at him.
If he'd not got involved and acted like Floyd i think he could have got off scott free.
Hang on.
Did i just use Mayweather's behaviour in the context of a positive example?

i'm surprised some respectable posters on here are defending zab judah.
judah ran across the ring and got involved in it all. what makes things worse is that he has previous form.
he deserves everything he gets as far as i'm concerned.

He is an idiot. He should have stayed in the corner like Floyd. Running in and throwing that haymaker was stupid.
