Hatton v Collazo Prediction Thread

Have not seen anything of Collazo apart from a few highlights here and there. I don't see an upset here (7/2 seems a very short price) but this could be a nice little fight (Collazo seems well up for it) - Ricky to win by close unanimous decision or late stoppage after having some troublesome moments against the light hitting southpaw.

I'm going to be different and go for a Collazo UD (if its scored correctly) or cuts stoppage. I will claim to be a boxing genious if it happens. I'm not sure about my prediction, but this is the fastest guy Rickys faced, the biggest guy (5'9 and a 7inch reach advantage), the guy with the most workrate hes ever faced, he has some heart, throws 10punches at a time and throws them inside or outside and he looks pretty decent from what I've seen. I also think Rickys taking this 1 for granted (he also doesn't have an equaliser to take Collazo out if hes behind on the cards imo)

Below are 2 of Collazos fights.

Ricky's skills still go unappreciated by some and it's these superb attributes that will see him take Collazo apart in 10. :box:

Hatton gets cut and out slicked early on, but grits it out, slams in the body shots and wins late in a tough fight.

Hatton TKO 10.

Hatton gets past Collazo's jab, works the body, finishes with a left hook.

Hatton KO 8 :box:

Bit difficult to predict if you havent seen much of Collazo - We do know he has a good jab and a high workrate - Dont see this as an easy one for Ricky but then none of his fights should be - He is at the top and he has to fight the best - Going up to 147 has to be the right thing to do, its a more natuaral weight for him I think - Ricky 9 onwards, through stoppage, bodyshots winning the day.

Yup. I see this one being a bit like Maussa. Collazo will be tricky for a while, but once Hatton finds the range he'll grind him down and take him out around round 9. Wouldn't be massively surprised to see it go the distance though, because a lot will depend on how much power Ricky carries up with him.

Collazo is slick and awkward but i don't think he has the strength to keep the marauding Hatton off him, Hatton's body attack will slow down the target and when Collazo gets static i think he gets stopped. Up until then it may well be interesting. I've decided not to order it though :TU:

Hatton late maybe 9 or 10.
Does anybody know what time the Hatton bout start's
Sky coverage start's at 10 but is Ricky fighting at 2 or 3.

I think the higher weight will suit Ricky a great deal. The pictures of him at the weigh-in show him looking healthy, not drawn or gaunt.

I feel he will be stronger than Collzo, and Ricky will win by KO round 9.

Ricky may have a few problems early on, getting use to the southpaw style etc, but once he makes the required adjustements, the body shots will take their toll on Collazo. :box:
